That’s not true at all. His approval rating was already on the up when he announced he was infected, then plunged again when they’re response turned out to be a disaster.

Him getting infected did not raise his approval rating, and it sure as f*** won’t with Trump considering his response to the virus, and the fact that as soon as 2 days before his announced infection he was making fun of his opposition for following CDC guidelines, and he (Biden) has yet to test positive.

The crux of it is that Boris got covid very early on, at a time when the UK had only just entered lockdown, clap for careers had been implememted. All in all there was a general rallying feeling, a similar phenomenen seen in other countries, that is attributable for the uptick, an uptick that was noticeable prior to him getting covid.
