I tried the canes in Davis CA and it was aight

The sauce and toast are undeniable but there’s no salt/pepper/cayenne/paprika/habanero/Cajun/garlic flavor on any of the main deals

I had this for the first time the other day. I'm a chicken fingers fan in general. This was very good, definitely some quality fingers. The fries were solid enough. The texas toast was a good add-on. The cane's sauce was good.

Overall I was satisfied but it wouldn't win over someone who isn't big on chicken fingers to begin with. It wasn't earth shattering.

Yeah, for sure, coleslaw and potato salad seems really hard for places to get right. All the real ones just ask for an extra Texas toast instead of the slaw.

The color palate of the food is all the same, minus the slaw which most people sub out anyway. It’s cool periodically at most

Canes' food is made to be drowned in the sauce. All the seasonings and flavor are in there

I love it tho. Its an easy comfort move and fills me up without making me feel gross or f***ing up my digestion the next day.
