Rightists cynically starting to use leftist rhetoric has not been a good sign historically.

carlson is actually a weird one because he is definitely not anti-socialism, but rather he's against the rhetoric of socialism rather than the economics of it; he also uses the often popular rhetorical trick of equating liberalism to socialism (purposefully though, since he definitely knows the difference) to create purposeful dissonance.
that's in part why his rhetoric is so popular, but he takes increasingly authoritarian right wing social talking points and mixes them with populist left-wing economics. He gave a massive anti-capitalism speech like 2 years ago which had a lot of big right wing donors like the Koch Bros heated. this is why i said it's closer to Strasserism or something, because Strasserists typically advocated radical, populist anti-capitalism worker-based action but alongside ultranationalism and strict authoritarianism

Carlson is probably the biggest practitioner of the Pat Buchanan-esque "paleoconservatism" which is as close as you can get to fascism without calling it fascism.

Wym, the only valid point I can think of is small business owners having their property unfairly destroyed, the rest is just him misrepresenting facts to paint a narrative

It's about people that believe in society VS people that don't. And there's a lot of astroturfing going on, white kids travelling from elsewhere to set black neighborhoods on fire like it's Coachella... When it's all said and done these communities will have lost many businesses and public services that may take years to recover from it, a generation of kids with no access to a library. That's sad as hell. We need to f*** up the people that partake in recreational destruction and aren't even from the block.

this is a terrible post lmao. please educate yourself on the historical use of the outside agitator narrative and then also explain how and why anyone would need to travel from elsewhere when there are protests happening everywhere?

I guess, but the bigger picture is because of this scene being made, there’s going to be actual changes to police departments. While I don’t support the destruction of small businesses or public utilities, have destroying government buildings and police stations have sent a clear message across to those in power

Nah we regular non-billionaire folk gotta come together and hang these politicians and media heads that treat us like we’re their cattle.

I agree with the protesters and defunding police, etc. But small business owners been getting absolutely f***ed this year. First with the lockdown, and now random people breaking their windows, looting, and burning down their whole s***.

Meanwhile big corporations got a $4 TRILLION bailout from the government.

The f***ery in the system we live in goes far beyond just the law enforcement. Now that’s something CNN or Fox won’t address. Because these media channels are all political propaganda machines made to keep us fighting with each other while they stay lacing their pockets, and if you haven’t realized that by now and still play into their game of judging people based off the color of their skin then you’re part of the problem.
