wish i could be starting season 3 for the first time again
but yeah imagine sitting on that ending for 25 years lmao shout out to whoever out there watched on original airing. cant imagine their hype when the return was announced
just have parts 14-18 of the return to finish before I’m officially done with the series. been taking my sweet time with it because I really don’t want it to end

I did the same. I will slow roll shows I love just so they won’t end. I haven’t seen the last 10 episodes of Seinfeld or the two seasons of The Office without Michael just so I can have them remain how I love them lol

you get the vibes! I just love to savor them as much as possible. this show in particular is one of my all time favorites and with Lynch passing away recently, is a lot more special to me now too.
just finished part 16. that was one of the greatest Twin Peaks episodes as well as one of my all time favorite TV episodes.
my review on s3:
it has taken me almost a full year to finish this show, but I’ve finally reached its conclusion tonight. This is Lynch’s swan song and the most fascinating season of television I’ve ever watched. episode to episode, I was either entertained, laughing my ass off, or absolutely terrified of what was on screen. Kyle MacLachlan acted like no other and gave this revival such a unique identity from the original run. the last stretch of episodes in particular were grand and truly one of a kind. it’s really hard to put into words how magical Lynch’s works are and how he can transport you to these dreamlike scenarios and really make you feel something. he was a legend and will truly be missed, and his works will continue to inspire us forever.
it really hurts being at the end, but I still have a few more Lynch projects to check out before I have fully watched his entire filmography.
feel a huge twin peaks size hole in my heart now that I’ve finished. what other supplementary material do you recommend?

Frost made two books, The Secret History of Twin Peaks and The Final Dossier, which are pretty cool. I like them a lot, but the mileage one gets out of them seems to vary greatly (especially when it comes to the latter.) They’re both epistolary novels, and the first one in particular does a remarkable job expanding on the lore and characters of the town.
There’s also a Dale Cooper “autobiography” written by Scott Frost (Mark’s brother) and The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer, which was written by Jennifer Lynch.

If you haven’t already definitely watch the missing pieces from FWWM, basically an extra 90mins of footage
season 2 gets way too much hate
I loved that s***

already did! loved how it was structured like its own mini project as well rather than just the deleted scenes. going to definitely rewatch FWWM as well as going through the BTS features of the DVD collection I have for The Return.
Currently watching s2
I love directors whose works makes you enter their mind, you're in their realm type stuff
