When the ending of one of the first episodes of S3 ended with older James seeing older Shelly

I naturally got happy feelings from that and expected that kind of ‘older characters’ being shown in cute fan service moments

The kind of stuff you’d imagine with a 25 years later sequel show

And then the whole show subverts and feels like actively avoids that kind of fan service for so much of it, and then when those moments finally happen it’s even better. They’re few and far between but they really really hit when it happens

Major Briggs was probably always working and absent so Bobby would act out.

Until Briggs told him how much he loved him.

Tbh the episodes right after the infamous Part 8 felt the most like OG Twin Peaks for me

Really liked the brothers that were involved with Dougie too, some of the funniest moments of the season came from them imo

Also, before i started watching S3 i heard that ppl didn’t like Dougie at all, but i loved every scene with him. Kyle is a national treasure

Still no Coop tho where i’m at. But i’m anticipating to see him in the last episode at least. Please Lynch i beg you

Yeah I loved douggie too! I think it’s because they had to wait week to week and obviously the coffee and pie seems to keep teasing that he MAY wake up and it just goes and goes. Like they had 20+ weeks of anticipation but it paid off really really well, that’s all I’ll say

But I loved all the characters of Douggies story. His blank acting allowed all his costars to have so much fun reacting to him.

And when it comes to the original coop, just peep the last 3 ASAP they’re amazing

And yeah Kyle is AMAZING. For his acting as Bad/evil coop he said he studied the movements of alligators and lizards, in how they are very very still, barely moving. And he’s exactly like that when he’s acting. Intimidating and scary while barely moving his face or body

Season 3 original characters are some of my favourites in the whole show

My only drawback with season 3 is I wish Richard got more to do, he had some of the hardest scenes, scary ass look and the actor killed it.

Sooo many characters and so many stories all intertwining but that actor demolished that role. Needed slightly more of that

I thought it was hilarious how he would never say anything but everyone would be having full blown conversations with him

and then everything would work out

The small vignettes of people who live in twin peaks at the roadhouse at the end of each episode

Man I wanna watch it all again!!!

He managed to make like 500k, make friends with gangsters and give naomi watts the best s***of her life while only being able to say the last word of whatever was just said to him

And then like you said when he finally becomes Cooper it's a flawless transition with a great payoff.

when the twin peaks theme comes in as he wakes up in the hospital …..

The best pay off IMAGINABLE.

And then the next 2 eps completely subvert that happy, fan service moment and take it dark again

Man i wish he would have gotten more significant work as an actor besides Lynch because this sure proved he’s super versatile

Been meaning to watch this again but idk if I wanna revisit the dark ass world of TP

Its dark but theres so many funny moments in it that S3 still feels almost just as much as a comfort watch to me as the original run was
