You remember Prince for Purple Rain and Sign O The Times or for MPLSound?
Prince didn't have albums with Nazi bars, nor was he generally disliked enough by the general public for ppl to be reminded by his bad projects

Yes the general public dislikes Kanye so much that millions of people continue to listen to him on a daily basis
The first half of Tyler’s discography has already aged poorly and it’s barely even been 15 years
Tyler has maybe 3 albums that didnt age well(Bastard, Goblin, and maybe Cherry Bomb depending on who you ask)
Wolf is generally considered solid. While everything post Cherry Bomb was critically acclaimed to well received.
Kanye has
Donda 2
Jesus Is King
Vultures
Vultures 2
Cuck
And idk what ppl think of Bully, but i imagine its not considered one of his best.
Do you honestly believe its uphill from here, and he controversies will tone down?
@op
Did they adjust bpm or change when the choir hits or anything ? If that's just the vocals straight on the on sight beat I refuse to believe he didn't record it over that and re-do the beat after

Three albums is an entire third of Tyler’s discography
Kanye has 10 solo albums and 6 of them are classics with the 7th being arguable
Nobody genuinely takes Donda 2 serious
Vultures 1 and 2 are collab albums
Cuck and Bully - lol
Edgy 20 year old white kids is the majority of Tyler’s fanbase
All I'm saying is most respectable notable ppl i see still talk about talk about Tyler. Including old head platforms. And their community by extention
I don't see any black content creators or black spaces that mess with Kanye anymore.
The only notable ppl i see talking about Kanye these days ppl like Adin Ross, QxC and Sneako. And by extension, their community of alt right folks

The conversation is about making a prediction of how things will be 20 years from now. Not today.
Given that Tyler is currently on a run of 4 critically acclaimed albums, and a new relatively well received album, i have no reason to believe that the quality of his albums will take a sudden nose dive anytime soon.
Kanye has currently been on a run of dropping nothing but stinkers for nearly 5 years.
While also ruining his reputation so badly that nobody wants to associate with him but meme rappers like Dave Blunts. I have no reason to believe Kanye is going to release better albums anytime soon, nor do i have a reason to believe his controversies won't get even worse.
I don't think its unreasonable to believe that Kanye won't be looked at nearly as fondly in 20 years. And i don't think its unreasonable to predict that Tyler's career and discography will be be viewed with much more respect in 20 years than he is now
@op
this s*** fit too perfect lmao harder than og in fact
Never said he'll get zero plays. But you're lying to yourself if you genuinely believe the Nazi stuff hasn't tainted his status.
Will Gold Digger still get plays? sure
But will there be as any ppl putting Kanye in the GOAT conversation as there would be without the controversies?
Not to mention that the with each passing year he's getting closer and closer to having more trash albums in his discography than Good album.
Even if you personally don't feel like Tyler can ever have an album as good as Kanye's best.
If Tyler ends his career with like 10-15+ Solid-Great albums, that discography will probably be looked at more fondly than a Kanye discography of 7 Phenomenal albums and 10+ God Awful albums
You’re outta your mind
As much as I like Tyler, his impact will not be felt like Ye’s
Ye can add 10 more trash albums from today to the next 10 years and his run will still not be topped by Tyler

They edited the timing of the choir

He’s quite literally mentally ill asf
Would LeBron’s claim to be the GOAT be tainted if he played the next 4 years with a torn Achilles that never heals?
I’m just trying to help you understand how stupid that sounds

whats stupid is comparing a professional Athlete being forced to retire due an injury to a grown musician who
Not to mention that being a GOAT athlete is based on more objectivity than music, so comparing athletes to musicians doesnt even make sense
Yes he's mentally ill. But excusing his actions to mental illness is disrespect towards ppl who mentally ill.
Mental Illness doesn't force you to be a bad person. Kanye is a awful human being who just happens to also be mentally ill

This some Fantano ass s*** man
If anything this proves that trying to be critical over the music from a nigga that is this demented and to hold his music to the same standard as his previous output and/or other artists is foolish
At the end of the day, bipolar disorder, manic depression, etc. are degenerative diseases that impair brain functioning. Idk how seriously u take mental health but just because not everyone who struggles with it becomes a bad person doesn’t negate the fact that these things are extremely vicious by nature and can affect people in unimaginable ways, including making them unrecognizable. Just because u can’t physically see it doesn’t mean these things don’t take a toll on a person’s brain like any other disease would on their body
Kanye is a 20-year TBI survivor with a troubled upbringing who has been very publicly sick as all hell for almost a decade and refuses to be properly medicated. Just try to imagine how much grey matter is left on his brain by now
At the end of the day plenty of casuals that hate the man or have never been a fan know more Kanye songs than they know what to do with
From my personal experience you’re either a Tyler fan or you’re not. I’ve never heard someone casually bumping his music as a non-fan at any point
You’re outta your mind

Do you know whats going to happen to Kanye in 20 Years?
Kanye still has some supporters..... NOW
But there is a generation of ppl who will get older, and they didn't live in a world where Kanye was a critically acclaimed, and beloved musician.
The only Kanye they'll know is a Kanye who a Self Proclaimed Alt-Right Nazi, a domestic abuse supporter, and a Kanye who drops nothing but mid-awful album with Nazi Bars.
They aren't going to have nostalgia for Graduation Era Kanye.
Just like ppl who weren't into R.Kelly feel less of desire to get into R.Kelly now.
As the generations nostalgic for Kanye get older, newer Generations aren't going to have much interest checking out College Dropout when he's still dropping songs like Heil Hitler, and his Wikipedia Introduction literally refers to him as a Nazi

As I said above. I still see notable platforms, celebs, and content creators still giving Tyler love and support. I still see black platforms, and even old head spaces and creators discuss Tyler.
And by extension, the fanbases of those creators and communities.
The only relevant ppl I see still rocking with Kanye are Alt-Right, and/or Red Pill creators. Adin Ross, QxC, Sneako, Neon, Akademics. And by extension, their fanbases.
And at best, maybe ignorant young dudes like Kai Cenat.
I don't see anybody respected, or any black spaces respecting. I'm in a black Nerd community with 50K users, and making a post a Kanye will get you a "We don't rock with Kanye over here buddy"
ANd that isn't Fantano s***. There is no such thing as "Separate the art from the artist" at a certain point.
Idk anyone 30+ bumping Tyler like that fr fr
My fiancee's mom listen to Tyler lol I'm getting her the some merch from him actually
Kanye’s classic album run is still the gold standard and he was one of hip hop’s premier artists for ~15 years. I like a lot of Tyler’s work since Flower Boy but it’s just not comparable.
In a world that Kanye wasn’t a Nazi, Kanye is the answer.
In reality, Kanye’s legacy will always be tainted by the Nazi stuff.
As long as Tyler doesn’t get in serious trouble, it avoids having similar POVs as Kanye, he’ll probably be remembered more fondly, and his discography will get more spins
Tyler could be the nicest person who ever lived and his discography still wouldn't be better than Kanye's

In 20 Years, which is what the conversation is based on.
If Kanye continues to drop Awful albums with Nazi Bars(which is heavily likelly), and Kanye continues his antics(which is very likely), I think yall underestimating the idea that he won't be viewed as fondly as right now.
He will no longer appear in the "Best discographies in Hip-Hop" convos
And assuming that Tyler continues to drop a few more critically acclaimed albums
A Discography of 15-20ish album that is mostly Solid-Great is objectively going to have better leg than a Discography of 30-40 albums where only 10 of those 40 a great, and the rest are mid-god awful

To be fair, you didn't mention the quality of their music one time in the post I quoted. Your scenario was entirely contingent on morality and public preception.
Yes, if Tyler drops 15 more great albums and Kanye drops 15 more trash albums, it will change the narrative surrounding their discographies.
