Priorities, you f***ing buffoon. PRIORITIES.
The fact that a celebrity is a racist or homophobic shouldn’t be given that much attention. It shouldn’t be important. Oh that singer said some hateful s***? F*** him, now let’s talk about the growing debt of the incoming mortgage crisis manufactured by BlackRock because that is going to change our lives. Our material conditions are way more important than some spectacular controversy.
Everyone was talking about DaBaby for the past few weeks. Do you think these people are aware of what’s going on in the world? Do you think the f***ing virtue signaling comments on Twitter and Instagram made a difference? It’s theatrical. It’s a s*** show. It gives you a false sense of importance while real s*** is happening before our eyes.
You’re trying to tell me that people can be aware of different problems, like “yeah I mad about DaBaby but I’m also mad about whatever s*** is going on in the world” but that’s wrong. People only care about manufactured spectacular controversies. They care about what’s trending. And DaBaby was trending because of that.
Culture war horseshit is like propped up by media conglomerates and sometimes even the CIA to distract from real s***. A lot of it tho is just hacks with English degrees who need s*** to write about for their employer and social media feeds off these kinds of things. You’re making valid points, but people are too absorbed in this “we can walk and chew gum at the same time” mindset to realize they’ve been losing consistently for decades because of that.
You are so real that anyone that disagrees with you comes off like a jackass.
Thank you
The "anti-sjw/anti-cancel culture" crowd themselves never care about any of those issues (especially not billionaires getting richer lmao) until it's time to deflect from the topic at hand
Dababy shouldn't be relevant but he is hence why he is being talked about. That's the price of fame unfortunately
You’re aware there’s tons of socialists and progressives that don’t like cancel culture and finger wagging moralists right?
Anyone who has a problem with what he's saying here can be safely written off. There are real actual problems in the world and this language policing just makes people more angry and steadfast in their backwards opinions! Pulling up old tweets and getting mad at people for saying offensive things ain't fixing s***!

This is false there are tons of left wing people who don't buy into the standpoint theory intersectionalist BS. It used to be all about economic justice on the left and then this last decade after occupy the sexuality, language policing, idpol stuff got pushed to the forefront and became the more visible progressive cause. And all that s*** has been integrated into corporations and institutions with no problem because it presents no actual threat to power, unlike pushing for economic equality.
All that being said, title of this thread is corny and gives off the wrong impression. The fact it’s framed in that way makes it sound like some right wing gotcha video or whatever which sucks because this issue shouldn’t be perceived as a right or left thing.

I never said every leftist cares about those issues...
What you said is true as well but doesn't invalidate what I posted either

U said the "anti sjw crowd" as if thats one group and there aren't people on the left and right who don't agree with standpoint theory and intersectionalism. There are plenty of leftists who want economic justice, think billionaires shouldn't exist, want M4A etc. who aren't into the progressive identity politics stuff.

By "anti-sjw crowd" I implied " the right wingers on social media calling people sjws and snowflakes "
Do you really believe that Republicans care about economic justice ?
That doesn't mean that all leftists are sjws either
Both those clips trash and it’s been obvious Tyler only cares about himself but still real if he said anything about cancel culture being lame

Nigga shut up.
Finally someone admits to not caring and moving on with their life. I wish more celebrities would stop this fake outrage bullshit just to get props from their fans

U brave for not changing your avy yet
Nigga needs to work on himself and his deep rooted insecurities before speaking on others imo
Yeah it’s super obvious
People that fw with cancel culture can never tell you why they're doing it other than some bullshit about "accountabiliy"
Like how do you want them to be accountable
Nothing they do will help people will just find a new thing to complain about
cancel culture people it's like a religion. it basically unlocks everyone's inner cop. they get to judge you and hand out punishment. it's a power trip. like a bouncer at a club whose life sucks, but for those 4 hours every weekend, he gets to be somebody
"I wish more people were selfish" is not the take America needs rn Tyler
EDIT: stop liking or responding to this
Tyler is a smart nigga thats too egotistical bcus this take is ridiculous and makes no sense
Americans are the most selfish society on earth
only cause the internet is here more than ever it's more out in the open but this kind of stuff has been going on FOREVER.
the hatemail that some of the 2000s/90s pop stars used to get was suuuuper crazy fam. Motherfuckers were getting real deal death threats and niggas actually trying to do it (shoutout to that nigga Ricardo Lopez )
Comparing that kind of s*** to a bunch of complaints on twitter accounts with less than 20k followers?
I'd take that in a heartbeat lol. I think it's another case of artists focusing on the few and between (in the grand scheme of things, KTT tends to overreport on this) negative "cancel" accounts than the way overarching positive fan comments that these artists be getting.
dudes music is auto trash
but he speaking facts real niggas need to be checked b/c they not acting real no more facts or nah?
But i feel him in an aspect
During dababy situation i modeled it to what happens irl to regular folks
When people make insensitive comments at work two things happen 1) repercussion (in the form of suspension, firing etc) or 2) re-education (they go through sensitivity training and what not
Dababy faced the repercussions as far as losing his festival spots which i more or leas agree with but the second step is that as someone with access to a lot of resources he should be going through a lot of re-education so he can actually re asses his position. Not like he doesn’t hv access to it
But it seemed a lot of niggas were skipping tht step and just tryna banish him forever
And again dababy aint some privileged white person who thinks the world is his to abuse.
Im not excusing his homophobia and classism at times too tbh but tbh if there’s any context in a situation like that would matter it’s his. Growing up as a poor poc is one of the most traumatic things and people in those situations are force fed a lot of inward and outward hate
ironic he talks about having soundbites taken out of context from the interview right after those quotes
