i hate being that guy but the mix on that song is legit unbearable, especially for the 8 minutes it goes on for
That was the point vro
Like if you look at Spaceship by Kanye, that's a song anyone in a low-paying dumbass grind of a job can relate to, but if Tyler made a track like that I feel like it'd be an extremely detailed narrative about his specific gripes with other employees
Controversial Take Alert: The hyper-specificity of Tyler's bars relating to his own life gets in the way of replay value
I think that some of that comes with not having resolved his contradictions & using the album as a therapeutic process of sorts....idk how he has wisdom outside of his usual maxims about getting out the hood, being yourself, & stuff if he hasn't really figured it out
I dig this, feels more like a "where tylers at right now" album rather than some "timeless body of work"
my bad ill start liking the song now
Never said that lol
But he says he was too sad to go to the booth and just got the s***ty mic and one taked in a chair

OH NOW WE PODDING
Where are you seeing it
I think @provider doesn’t like it, and I noticed a couple other users who I don’t remember were saying it’s the worst on the album, they don’t get it, etc.
I wish Tyler had more relatable bars but I think it'd be dishonest for him to act like he has the same life experiences as most people, he's weirdly antagonistic towards his listeners in a way that most artists aren't sometimes tho
hes so obviously self concious and yeah it gives his music a vibe that comes off as a lil hostile to the listener sometimes
OH NOW WE PODDING
yeah his thing is like that's for them, that's not for me right now & that's ok. shrug which is a simplification but it's good how he gets into some things other rappers don't talk about (abortion, etc) & how he brought his mom into it in regards to his dad
I like him breaking traditions but this one hurt
Him putting a beautiful instrumental at the end of tomorrow woulda been so fire
Tomorrow/Yesterday
Yeah it’s kinda rough to have that one go, but this is supposed to be the album that represents real growth and inflection for the guy
Also why did i just recently realize its earl on November who says “my november is right now”
Hes in the video of tyler working on it on the flower boy ig
Always bugged me who that was
Tyler is just an environmentally-friendly Future
Oh s*** lol

the chorus is rough and it just feels a bit much for me, only track ill skip is sticky

They're s***posting. Song is good

Idk his raps have been pretty specific to his life since wolf-cherry bomb
& really if you wanna pod, you gotta acknowledge that money doesn't solve any of his problems it just makes them more distorted
Never said that lol
But he says he was too sad to go to the booth and just got the s***ty mic and one taked in a chair
yeah im listening again and this vinyl crackle thats only in the right channel makes me wanna die still
the chorus is rough and it just feels a bit much for me, only track ill skip is sticky
kinda reminds me of his old troll tracks like boppin b****, like its funny and s*** but not one ill replay

no no i like it all
matter fact, i'm not even here :ariscared:

I think this is true.
My chest sunk hearing Hey Jane the first time because I was like “this isn’t even bad, but when tf am I gonna want to listen to this abortion drama regularly?”

exactly like its a great mature tyler track but i think that will hurt the replay value for sure, songs like that
