second listen, this s*** is really good. actually love how this doesn't seem to have some big sweeping revelation for him and his personal life beyond keep shining. seems like he's at a spot where he recognizes what he wants in the future but isn't ready to go there yet so he's just kind of living. also the parallel between hey Jane and his mom's speech later about tyler's dad got me emotional not gonna lie
the chorus is rough and it just feels a bit much for me, only track ill skip is sticky
That’s fair. I personally like the way the chorus is kinda rough and comes outta nowhere, but I guess it’s just different tastes for different people
exactly like its a great mature tyler track but i think that will hurt the replay value for sure, songs like that
You see it
Has anyone here thought of a way the cover and world this album exists in visually connects to the music? I still don’t really understand
I think this is true.
My chest sunk hearing Hey Jane the first time because I was like “this isn’t even bad, but when tf am I gonna want to listen to this abortion drama regularly?”
Ehhhhhhhh as a nigga thats never been through it, that’s one of his most relatable tracks in general lately.
LOT of niggas have done that lol
I think there is a difference between albums that are basically a compilation of discrete singles & those that are more a coherent singular experience. With tylers nerdiness for the album experience you can tell he makes bodies of work from the latter mindset. Deep cuts are Deep cuts for a reason
They're s***posting. Song is good
Damn, I really don’t know how to read tone I guess, lol.
But I agree. It’ll probably be one of my most replayed songs initially; if only because it’s good and more easily digestible than the other ones
I think this is true.

For me the production saves it

Might catch some flack for this but a song like Wet Dreamz is an example of this type of personal vulnerable storytelling done right. Its not super specific nor personal, youre not focused on Cole's specific life or story while you listen. Its a simple story, textured with familiar details, about a fundamental human experience that people can relate too -- losing your virginity as a young dude. Thats it.

tyler wanted to play dress up and then just threw a couple of songs he liked on the album
Balloon is fire. End of the show, celebration type s***. He freaked that verse. I been in a DREAM.

Music video was wild out of pocket tho
Not getting into nobody buisness but in the last 5 pages id bet theres at least 5 fellas that have dealt with a pregnancy scare
Is this closer to Igor or Cherry Bomb in style? Still at work but curious on thoughts

Wet Dreamz hate was always a meme. Great song

Vid was a lil weird ngl but i stand by the song being classic

LOT of niggas have done that lol
I mean, that’s fair. Even if I can’t relate specifically, I do like the overall negative vibe to the song, so it’s not like, completely impenetrable to me
Any one else pissed that the only venues bigger artists book for concerts are seated stadiums???
This album has so much f***ing energy, I want to go to the concert and mosh not sit in a f***ing chair. It's one of the worst parts about seeing your favorite artists reach superstar status. Like tyler was my first concert on the wolf tour 10 years ago and dude was at the newport, now he only comes to the schottenstein center....
Not enough spaces for that weird inbetween venue sizs tbh. I prefer smaller venues 800-3000 ppl which philly has a ton of. Hate going to wells fargo center for a show. Literally buy floor seats for $150 there to avoid the seats and distance

igor imo
For me the production saves it
Me too, tbh. Thank God T is such a master at that by this point

2nd time you deserved it ngl
