huey p rxcanits not even his lack of appreciation for the genre
hes just stuck at the age he got famous at. looking at that jerrod carmichael interview was an interesting glimpse of his character.
dude got famous almost fresh out of hs and was very quickly lauded and celebrated by his heroes. he never had to grow up and i feel like because hes helped and seen such a massive group of young black talent, he has this skewed perspective than any and everyone can just replicate that with enough effort and earnestness.
i dont even think he's pretentious as much as hes just incredibly narrowminded for the "free spirit" he claims to be
i also dont get how you say something like this meanwhile you paraded a nigga who relies on having nails for hair than any actual musicianship. it just feels like hes s***ting on young kids having fun and becoming an oldhead more so than he actually is caring about the state of music.
you don't turn more people into musicians by bullying them into it lol
maybe there is a cap on how far the average smaller artist can take things that tyler isnt super mindful of
but a lot of them arent even trying so idk how much that changes the validity of what hes saying
im not convinced that destroy lonely tried to make a masterpiece and was like "damn the advance they ran me isnt gonna pay for this" I just think he doesnt gaf lol

SINGHi hate when rappers say they're not rappers. they try to minimize the genre as a whole
It's dumb as hell, it's like their saying rap isn't art. Rap is not only an art, but being a rapper is a mindset/lifestyle, and there's so many ways to approach this thought process, but so many modern rappers approach it the same way.
Dudes put in a disingenuous effort into their music and want Grammys. Motherfuckers know their making bullshit nowadays and still want awards, it's crazy.

dude is a creativity machine but hes f***ing loaded and has had the means to become the musician he wanted to be by being signed to f***ing sony at 20 years old
like suck my d*** dude, you were an anomaly in the music industry. you became the talent that you were but like others have said, you were making wannabe eminem shock rap records with s***ty fl presets, now ur s***ting on those same kids who are doing that but just now copying carti? give me a break, i love his music and his worrk ethic but he just comes off as so holier than thou
makes sense why earl ended up being in the east coast more, im def gonna be quoted as a hater for this, but tyler just gives off LA guy vibes in the worst way

I feel like there are some cases where that kinda makes sense though
Like eminem is better at the actual technical skill of rapping than a lot of people but he really struggles to make good music (ignoring his first run of albums)
