The people Ian surrounds himself is entirely different than people like Post Malone(only whites). I dont know him personally, but Ian seems to be around a diverse set of musicians

I said he was one of the only ones to get away with this without hardly any backlash (he got some s*** for the Durag) but he made some really street type records that most MAINSTREAM white rappers wouldn’t be able to pull off

Maybe it’s cause he was actually in the come up in a rough area and struggled, or because he caught that gun charge, but he did sound natural and not out of place on a lot of the harder songs he was in. And no one really said “they didn’t believe it” like people say when other MAINSTREAM white rappers make music like this (keep mentioning mainstream because white rappers like Vinnie Paz make some hard s***)
