    Lmao okay?

90%-95% of people that go see an artist live (at their show, not at a festival) are fans of that artist. I don’t know what this little anecdote was supposed to prove lmao

Where'd you get 90%-95% from? Gimme ya source since yall being so specific about s***.

    It’s called common sense

Most people who go to basketball games are fans of basketball, it’s not hard to assume that most people who pay money to go see an artist live are fans of that artist

No, basketball fans who go to basketball games go to see teams/players that they like

That’s why you won’t see a Pistons vs. Magic game sold out

Judging how big an artist is based on how much money the fans throw at them is the dumbest s*** ever.

BTS must be the biggest artists to ever exist then

Judging an artist's popularity by people being willing to spend money on them is the dumbest s*** ever? That's exactly what album sales are too tho

    Albums are $10
    Streaming is $10
    Ticket = $15(meek)-$500+

On that note I'm outta here

Exactly, so if more people are willing to spend a more expensive fee to see an artist, that artist is bigger

Also, streaming is so easy to do it’s so easy to just passively stream something, more streams doesn’t always equate to the artist being bigger

Its not a black and white argument like either of u are making it but touring is definitely a factor to look at that makes an artist big

There can be a popular artist who doesnt tour as well

But if an artist is touring well that likely means they have a base

Bro, the average attendance of MJ’s tour was 36,000 people, while Pink Floyd’s was 27,000.

MJ’s tour sold $125 million, Pink Floyd’s sold $135 million.

But MJ only did 123 shows, Pink Floyd did 197.

So even though Pink Floyd sold $10 million more, they did 74 more shows to get that, and they had an average of 9K less people per show

MJ isn't a top 20 biggest artist according to you lil bro he didn't move enough tickets. Top 5 biggest of all time:

    Ed Sheeran
    U2
    Guns N’ Roses
    The Rolling Stones
    Coldplay

This part isn’t true at all. You can have fans that can’t afford or too young etc to go to shows. But they can be the biggest fan of your music

There’s no age requirement at shows, and yes some can’t afford it but the biggest artists are still able to sell out venues. There isn’t one big artist in the history of music who went their whole career unable to sell out shows
