I wouldn’t dismiss CMIYGL as just some hold the fans over s*** though
I think that entire era was pretty planned out and homage to an era of music that influenced him a lot
no don't get me wrong CMIYGL is my favorite tyler era/album, just saying it would be insane if it was somehow lightweight for what he's planning next
edit: you right tho I worded my op wrong

CMIYGL is my fav tyler album too, that and flower boy
I wonder how much his next album is gonna be different from Call Me because he still seems so in that mode, but it’d be insane if he was able to make a Call Me tier album with a broader pop appeal. I dont doubt him at all
great commercial but the fact that he's still peddling these accessories nobody has wanted since they dropped last December is laughable. he's like A$AP Rocky'ing his brand if that makes sense
just drop the collection
I agree. Only rapper that really took they clothing brand to a higher level was Kanye
I'm not even a big Tyler fan, but I'm so excited for his next s***. One of the most improved rappers of the last decade.
Wolf to Call me
Has been a great run / improvement
S*** sounds great. Really need him to take it to the next level on this next project. Its time for him to start asserting himself into those stupid Big 3 discussions. If everyone can have Andre in their top 5 they can consider Tyler in the big 3
Tyler in his own lane tbh
Just rumors but I heard it’s going to be hard raps over lush R&B beats.
Classic incoming

This current run is so crazy that its almost unpredictable what comes next but all I know is that im placing my bet that that were getting at least two more S tier projects back to back because he feels so locked in right now
this low-key his moment and he really might take it even bigger

I think by his next album hes gonna cement himself as one of the biggest rappers alive
I mean hes already big but like that next level moment

CMIYGL should've been the one to put him in the discussions but he has such a distinguished lane that he wouldn't even fit in the big 3. he has the success he's not really dominating the current rap climate, he's in his own atmosphere

Yeah he has a weird path
Bro been famous for 10+ years and every single album since Flower Boy people are like okay Tyler is really here now…
Just rumors but I heard it’s going to be hard raps over lush R&B beats.
Would love this

As a resident Tyler hater, his clothing and fashion ventures are way more impressive than Ye

What do you mean by higher level?

exactly, since flower boy he's really honed in on being the "artists artist" and thats the legacy he gonna have that puts him in GOAT discussions

In what way? I'm talking about success and money. I feel like Yeezy got more rep. Golf has yet to get there imo, It's still stuck in that "rapper's merch" area

le fleur is going crazy tho in terms of production level
Money and popularity
I mean GOLF makes quite a lot of money, but yeah Ye def has the most popular brand but I think Tyler’s brand is doing great.
Pharrell has also been very successful within design tbh

Bro Le Fleur is legit getting produced and sold like a luxury brand, its sold in luxury stores and has its own boutique. Virgil himself set Tyler up with italian fabric maker for it. Merch isn’t getting made that way
Tyler signed a 15 M deal for Le Fleur thats way past merch. It’s niche, not yeezy level but its not merch level

Pharrel kinda like what Travis Scott is becoming. They don't really got a solid brand but they do a ton of successful collabs with other brands

I mean like the way people look at it. Folks don't look at Le Fleur as a luxury brand. It's still labeled as "Rapper's merch"

Pharrell did have a brand though BBC which was pretty successful for a while, as well as his Ice Cream sneakers which had multiple stores
But I see what you mean, and Pharrell is more in that lane now

I don’t think so, people who even know what Le Fleur is wrong definitely realize what it is.
It’s gonna be associated with Tyler because Tyler made it but its not looked at as merch
