I wouldn’t dismiss CMIYGL as just some hold the fans over s*** though

I think that entire era was pretty planned out and homage to an era of music that influenced him a lot

    Definitely

But I see what the poster meant that it was also almost a victory lap and his version of a mixtape. What he does with the next one will be very interesting

Yeah for sure I see that as well

Definitely felt like an album you can only make when you’re at a good place in your career

CMIYGL is my fav tyler album too, that and flower boy

I wonder how much his next album is gonna be different from Call Me because he still seems so in that mode, but it’d be insane if he was able to make a Call Me tier album with a broader pop appeal. I dont doubt him at all

i mean following the one for you one for me pattern it looks like the next one is gonna be on the more out there side

    This s*** funny as hell

    rico

In what way? I'm talking about success and money. I feel like Yeezy got more rep. Golf has yet to get there imo, It's still stuck in that "rapper's merch" area

Ye partners with the biggest names Nike and Adidas to make some shoes. If he has clothes, idk, nobody buying them s***s. Tyler started his fashion s*** from the ground up and from what I know is pretty much independent aside from collabs. Yeah his clothes ugly asf but people buying them.

And ofc Ye got more money cause he chose billion dollar companies to make and sell his s*** lol.

I feel like Tyler is one of the few rappers who actually cares abt music. And it’s not that he’s some generational talent but he jus cares more than almost everyone else

He’s more digestible now and I been a fan for a minute like I got the old wolf album and s*** but it’s kinda crazy looking back now that I’m older I get why him and his fans used to get so much hate but I also really admire the direction and growth he’s at right now

It wasn't about the early stage of his career, which people have legit reasons to criticize him for imo. It was post CMIYGL where this site was s***ting on him. And then the nail in the coffin was CMIYGL being about a 19 year old. Now it seems like Kendrick has taken that spot as public enemy number 1 on this site

But yeah, I really prefer this era of his career over that cringy B******/Goblin era

I remember Kendrick getting a lot of hate on KTT1 after TPAB. Those threads were locked early though and there was a large amount of posters who recognized it for the classic it is. It was more of a discussion

Now it just feels like people here hate on artists because they are popular everywhere else or they're insecure stans of other artists who feel the need to put other music down to defend those artists Its not even entertaining or thought provoking, it's just hate coming from a place of insecurity. We got love is funny, but I think his posts get so many likes because some people deadass agree with what he says

Listen to the arrangement and instrumentation of this. The way thong builds up to the beautiful part at 0:53.
Next summer’s album will be incredible. How does he keep getting better?

I don’t really like Tyler like that but musically I always enjoy his progress. He is a great musician. As a rapper he isn’t all that but man his beats can be really good

Bro Le Fleur is legit getting produced and sold like a luxury brand, its sold in luxury stores and has its own boutique. Virgil himself set Tyler up with italian fabric maker for it. Merch isn’t getting made that way

Tyler signed a 15 M deal for Le Fleur thats way past merch. It’s niche, not yeezy level but its not merch level

I didnt even know this, who is the Italian fabric maker
