did a moving job where i moved boxes full of heavy ass books and other s*** for this college professor/author all day in 90-degree weather. it sucked ass but i wasn’t planning on quitting. house was nice as s*** too so i was hoping for a good tip because i definitely earned it

then after i finished the job she said “this is your first move right?” i’m like yes ma’am, i stg this b**** had the audacity to say my tip for the job was “the learning experience”. i almost lost it, texted my boss that night saying i sprained my ankle during the job(which was true) and i was quitting lol

I love how some jobs seem to equate actively making their employees more miserable with the justification that they’re paying them, or if they’re not miserable than they aren’t earning their pay.

Like, sitting down being off limits if things are slow, for example

Back in college my boy was the manager at Taco Bell and got me a job because my parents had cut me off being an ahole. Understood.

After working a shift I apologized to my parents and told them that I would value my education.

I can't do that early morning s*** either lol, I'm useless until 8

I give every job a month at least.

I know it's rough but at least give it one check.
