Privileged weirdos who have never been carjacked or have a whole family to feed itt saying man should have just gave up his car and let insurance deal with it 🤦🏽♂️
"Insurance" isn't really a privilege. In the US (some states actually make it mandatory) you NEED to have insurance if you gotta car.
And nigga if I gotta whole family to feed then that's always gonna be on my mind more than a f***in car. If my car gets jacked then f*** it I'm using the city's busted ass public transportation to get to and from work. Least I'm still gonna be able to make money and provide for my fam.
S*** got nothing to do with "privilege". It's literally the exact opposite.
Why you bolding words I literally said I came at you. Again, they pulled up to the scene with a taser, as kids. They meant harm one way or another. If that doesn’t make you question some things then I don’t know what to you tell you.
I already said that they should get charged with aggravated assault with a weapon itt. Now you just typing to type to get your own s*** off.
Take it up with someone else
im not wishin life long prison on kids for this

good lord
off topic but i know everytime I see that chief boy ardy nigga and @NiceLikeChrist the thread is about to be hot garbage.
Been seeing stories of gas station attendants getting stabbed after trying to stop people robbing the gas station. I feel bad for those gas station attendants of course, but there is a reason why those employee training videos tell new hires to not engage with a criminal in the event of a robbery. Lord knows those jobs ain't paying you enough to risk your ass for that s***
It's unfortunate, but you just gotta cut your losses. Whatever is stolen is worth way less than your life/safety and it can easily be replaced. It's the same with carjacking. If someone steals your car in broad daylight you literally have all the information on your vehicle and (hopefully) insurance. That car is either gonna be found and the robbers will be arrested with that information you give, or your insurance is gonna come through and help you get a new car.
7/11 worker couple blocks from me was killed as the result of a robbery a couple weeks ago
take the whole goddamn store, just let me live

this man will be in @NiceLikeChrist nightmares forever
Btw I get the feeling that the 15 year old (the one who probably drove the car and wielded the taser) was the evil "mastermind" behind the whole plan and the 13 year old was probably just along for the ride
Which makes me believe the 15 year old will probably end up getting a much worse sentence than the 13 year old
the thing bout the "he should've let go" vs. "he was trying to protect his livelihood" argument is that it's trying to ascribe reason to a situation that was a lot more likely to be a fight or flight/adrenaline response. once the car took off and the door he was hanging onto slammed into a pole, not only may he have already been hurt and was just hanging on to protect himself from hitting more things at that point, but i also really don't think he was trying to consciously rationalize anything at all. it's useful to retrospectively look at these kinda things to imagine what one could do in a theoretically similar situation, but assigning value to his actions for any other reason isn't very relevant because what was goin on in his head was likely way different than how we're all experiencing it just watching and talking about it

I don't care enough about the store to worry about ppl taking free s*** tbh.
You ask me, we're ripping old people off so
Like Peter Parker said, 'I forget the part where that's my problem...'
some of yall just want criminals to get away with everything long as it fits your agenda
Imagine how f***ed up you have to be to see a video like this and the first thing that comes to your head is "Wow I feel sorry for those kids. I hope they end up OK."

Facts
Kinda reminds me of the XXXTentacion situation
Adrenaline in the moment + macho attitude = Irrationally fighting 2 dudes with guns over a duffel bag full of money that he can make back in a day
In this situation he probably wasn't expecting the girl to just floor it with him latched onto the driver's door and was probably holding on just to survive

alright buddy
These are kids man some of y’all are heartless with this rhetoric. I think rehabilitation & therapy is still a viable option for them. I still do think they should go to prison as well, but the most I can say with a good conscience is 10-15 years max.

My bet is that the 15 year old gets the prison time (she was probably the "brains" behind the plan) and the 13 year old that was "along for the ride" will just get therapy
If you a Uber driver, you better start carrying. Send these lowlife’s to meet they maker if they wanna try some f*** s*** like this.

I wonder if the response would still be as extreme if we didn’t have the video footage we do. I feel like seeing the man + car take off, hearing the crash n seeing the aftermath helps to condition a more intensive & immediate pound for a pound response for some people. Idk
F***ed up situation all around
