They didn't mean to kill him they meant to steal his car, they're very young and giving the "lock em up throw away the key" at age 13 & 15 is crazy to me
So if I mean to rob a bank and kill some people along the way it’s okay by you’re logic
you come ITT trying to make it about you then pivot to victim blaming
What i said is
''How tf you just get killed by teenagers''
Then thought about it because I was angry and couldn't think well
I'm not blaming the victim, the girl did wrong, and she should be judged when she's at least 18 (If she's not yet)
But if I was that guy I would've get in the car and just stop the thing or at least not letting half of my body out of it
In any case, I'm blaming the girl
only giving a f*** about her phone like wtffff, the total lack of remorse is shocking
yeah this is so insane.
horrible tragedy and rip to this poor man
but y'all are all over the place when it comes to age
in one thread saying 8 year olds are old enough to decide their gender
in another thread saying 13 year olds are old enough to rot in jail
then saying 18 year olds aren't old enough to decide who to date
So f***ed up
I'm not baying for the blood of kids tho
They deserve the punishment they'll get and I understand the outrage
But to me their reaction points to the fact they don't really understand the severity of the situation on an emotional level and kids Def have a lower developed conscience (altho unfortunately for some people this never changes)
Either way an innocents man.died and these kids lives changed forever, along with everyone else involved. Crimes involving kids always the hardest to process

They don’t deserve life bc they still are stupid f***in kids at this point but they need to be monitored and rehabilitated for a few years at the very least bc this type of lack of value for life won’t just go away on its own
That being said black kids don’t get those opportunities and they probably finna get the book thrown @ em
Parents gotta feel wild

alright man im not trying to be a d***, just pointing out that someone died and we should be respectful of that first and foremost
plus if you're an uber driver struggling to make ends meet, that car is essentially your livelihood. who in that position would just give it up w/o a fight
What do you mean? I have nothing to do with these other posts itt. I'm saying that nobody feels ''good'' about sending kids to prison by definition. It's just that their own actions led them upon this path. Yes, they are young. And yes they should eventually be able to get a second chance. But they need to show progression as human beings. Or would you rather let them loose for another man or woman to potentially lose their life if these kids end up not feeling any remorse about their horrible and stupid actions?
I get where you coming from in a way, but there's no need for you to get so defensive over people who took a mans life. Kids or not
He's passed away, there's no way he can come back, all that throwing years at two young girls is gonna do is ruin their lives for what could ultimately be no reason when what lead to them carjacking him could be solved through better living conditions, being more integrated into school, sports, other programs etc.
There was no intent to kill, one of them clearly panicked in the heat of the moment, its so easy to judge them as being careless but its such a traumatic experience you can't predict how you will react especially as a child with a far less developed brain
They're humans too, the way people take so much pleasure in being hard on crime to fill an agenda is disturbing
Bro this is disturbing.
And where are their parents why is a 13 & 15 yr old just out and about by themselves trying to steal cars in the middle of DC?

I actually agree with you but its troubling that people selectively bring this energy into threads
not gonna pinpoint specific situations because I dont want this to devolve into something it isnt- but I can name several where posters were calling for kids' blood and no one ITT was saying what you are
Idk what the guy was thinking of by not getting in the car and letting half of his body be out of it like nothing was going to happen...
Man this gon sound crazy but if he ain’t have the nuts/strength to grab em by the neck and throw em out that car he shoulda just stayed back and let the insurance handle it lol
Especially if he’s in the Uber system and I assume they track his wearabouts but ion know how that s*** work fr maybe he was assed out as soon as they left and his phone was still on him
Nothing material worth your life
Don’t even know how they got in the car with that s*** cranked and key ready lol
Definitely not his “fault” but he shoulda fell back once he saw they weren’t stopping

Until they 18-21 something needs to happen I don’t know if that’s simple counseling or something else but u can’t just send them back into the world lol
very unfortunate but im not wshing life long prison on kids regardless
What if they were your fam or friends

People in here are talking about how they're just kids they didn't mean to but it's so hard to understand that he was probably also not realizing what was really happening? Is it so hard to understand how surprising / shocking it might've been for him?
Jesus Christ dude

The man passed, I feel bad for him and his family, all my condolences.
What I'm saying is that if I was getting my car jacked while half of my body is still in it I wouldn't have left by any mean the other half of it out, because that's what could happen, I'm not saying that he did wrong by not doing that, I'm just saying that if this ever happens to you, do NOT LET by any mean any part of your body out of a drive when the thing is moving, because that's what could happen, and more if the person who's driving the car doesn't have total control over it
Y'all are talking like this like you can think clearly when you're being carjacked lmao
RIP but I don’t understand why people get so bloodthirsty about seeing criminals rot forever.
If this happened to one of your loved ones, I doubt you’d have this s*** take.
Y'all are talking like this like you can think clearly when you're being carjacked lmao
exactly, its easy to say what to do behind a computer screen
