is juvie even really "hard time"?
just wondering, they need to be punished and maybe juvie for 5+ years will straighten them out

It's kids who be getting beat the f*** up, raped, or attempt/commit suicide in juvie. It's pretty much jail just with more guards and feeding time.
A lot of niggas have gotten out and changed their lives tho. Prison is a wake up call for a lot of these niggas. You kinda talking just to be talking. There’s always hope, is everyone going to fall in line? No, but to make it seem like it’s impossible is some lame ass s***, especially for where we at.
It depends imo. If someone is imprisoned for a violent crime such as murder, attempted murder, battery, etc then they don't even deserve the opportunity to reform their tbh.

Juvie is absolutely f***ing terrible, and one thing its not gonna do is teach anyone a lesson

They didn’t murder him
There wasn’t an intent to kill him
They didn’t murder him
There wasn’t an intent to kill him
This is pretty clear third degree murder.
Manslaughter in my view
Definitely involuntary manslaughter, possibly vehicular manslaughter.

Looks like DC doesn’t recognize murder in the third degree so manslaughter would be the right call. My apologies.

In that instance, I was just speaking generally but with regards to this incident, it doesn't matter. A life was lost, that cannot be brought back. They robbed children of a father. They robbed a wife of her husband.
Furthermore, you're acting as if they killed nigga while he was jaywalking or something
Those lil dumbasses were jacking his car

All good

You don’t get to redefine murder, murder is murder and it involves intent. They didn’t intend to kill him.

Brah these are kids tho. Their brains aren’t even fully developed yet. They deserve a chance to grow as people and learn from their mistakes.

F*** Em. They’re heathens and them getting life would still be too lenient

I’m not doing this now but cmon man. They know better than this.

Ok…

U dont know that
U dont know that
Okay they intended to crush his head with a car in downtown DC in front of dozens of people
This sounds likely to you?
U dont know that
If they intended to kill dude they would've done it before they even attempted to steal the vehicle. They had a knife and taser on em I believe, they had the means to kill the driver if they truly intended to do so. The fact that they attempted to drive off after getting dude out of the car also shows that they very likely did not intend to kill him.
I will say them driving off while dude was still hanging onto the car definitely shows their disregard for the victim's well-being as well as their own, but that legally falls into the category of manslaughter. People itt tryna make it more than that when the reality is this was just a botched carjacking. They can probably try to hit those girls with an assault with a weapon charge added onto the manslaughter, but murder would be extra, as by law it is not a first, second, or third degree, within the city of DC at least where they don't do the third degree murder thing I believe.
