Watching the walkthrough trailer atm, man ngl this being in the Galactic Empire era has me kinda
Ehh the world settings look more lively than Jedi Survivor so I guess that’s a plus. I hope combat is a lot more engaging than they showed. Even if the main character is a non-Force Sensitive, there is still a lot of potential skills she utilize. There are a plethora of weapons, and gadgets in the SW universe they can pull from to give her a robust arsenal.
Looks wise as far as the main character goes, she looks like the outcome of that Blizzard diversity character generator tuned way down. She’s basically an off-white white girl. Different enough that it’s “diverse”, but no real substance at first glance. They definitely need to change her signature look. Way too similar to Cal’s. Even down to the colorway. They could do a much better job with her hair styling as well, or at least I’ll hold full judgement if there is CC options.

What are they even doing to market the game if we’re that close, I’ve only ever seen the gameplay demo they showed last year. You’d think they’d be going all in since it’s a SW game.

SW's got some classic games but so many of them are half assed

it feels like Ubisoft are on a run of not properly marketing their big games right now its weird
So late 2024 huh...this will probably be delayed like avatar was
nah first half of 2024
second half is the AC Red focus

Oh. Then my comment stands even more then lol. I'm almost certain this ain't dropping that soon lol. If it does I'll gladly eat my words though
My friend is working on this game, hope it’s great :) He enjoys playing it a lot!

they'll start heavy promo for the game soon and its all we'll see for the month of April lmao
kind of like Avatar Frontiers back in September
the same team was working on both games for a while and once Avatar was finished they went full out on SW Outlaws
in case u missed it:
Confirmed planets in Star Wars Outlaws so far include Tatooine, Cantonica, Kijimi, Akiva, and Toshara, each with their own unique environments and potential side missions.
Each planet is the size of 2 major AC Odyssey areas

I'm looking forward to this one!
Is Ubisoft finally gonna release a not mid game after all these years (barring Prince of Persia)?
Wow that Comes out a day before my bday
I don't understand the hype in here after that gameplay reveal. Looks like a typical basic Ubisoft open world list of chores game

unless u want the Elden Ring flow, the Ubisoft open world is one of the best tbh even Spider-Man 1 and 2 and Dragon's Dogma 2 maps had more of a Ubisoft design than not
it's the stories, arch type characters and the overall gameplay mechanics like combat or traversal that don't change enough or feel too safe and end up boring or too long and that's what people don't love about Ubisoft
so many people flock to slower stealth/spy gameplay which is what SW Outlaws seems to have
i'm someone who grew up in the linear low-poly era and open worlds were few and far between and the more closer we got to an open world that feels like it flows on its own (besides GTA) the more epic gaming became and now that it has been mastered people seem to have become ungrateful haha

The Ubisoft-esque open world is actually my least favorite thing about games like Spiderman and HZD. Currently 60 hours into my Ghost of Tsushima playthrough and I'm sick of running into a group of mongols, killing them, rescuing their hostage and the same basic cutscene plays where the hostage rewards me with items or tells me about a camp nearby (that's actually across the map)
Like you said, at least those games have good gameplay. But Far Cry 5 is one of the worst games I've played. They don't even try to hide it, they release you into the open world and just give you a list of basic chores to do. And the AI is so brain dead. Ironically, Ubisoft one of the worst at their own formula. Hoping this game proves me wrong, but that reveal didn't excite me
