I live at the top of one of those uphill driveways with multiple houses n s*** (don't remember what its even called).

Anyway, last Friday I took the trash down and was walking back up the hill and as I got to the top I saw this yellow flash of light in front of me and heard a really loud bang. The weird part is I could barely remember it happening. Like I was fully aware of everything as I was walking up the hill. I was thinking about different things but in that moment it was as if I was half-asleep. Like I was barely conscious, I couldn't tell you if the flash was 10 feet in front of me or 10 miles.

Then yesterday, the same thing happens. This time, its coming from North as opposed to East. I see it from over my neighbors' fence but don't hear a bang. Just an explainable large yellow flash, but further away this time. Like at the end of our block, maybe. My girl saw it too and had no guesses as to what it could have been. She saw a second one 5 to 10 minutes later.

Noteworthy is my dog also took off chasing something last night, like he does with cats.
My girl and I never actually saw the cat, though. And he was growling, which he never does at a cat. Could have easily still been one or another animal, but the combined circumstances really had me spooked.

Please help me understand, fam. I'm not the type to believe in such things. If I heard my own story I'd probably roll my eyes.

Just last night I had to leave my window open cause it was so hot couldve sworn I saw something shining but everytime I wanted to see what was going on it went off. So I took myself some time and literally sat there for 20 minutes or so watching the sky and nothing happened. Layed myself down to bed and there it was again.
