    They did have it coming.
No country should do business with a terrorist government.

The international assets of all top to middle level iranian officials in their government should be seized. It's all iranian blood money ..

Their networths are monumental, Trump's networth is pocket money to them. They've been robbing a very Rich country's resources for half a century.

People need to wake up. Just because Trump is a dumb f*** does not mean that they should side with Iran.

You’re making all these leaps in logic because you think you’re some kind of hero. If any government doesn’t support another government, trade should absolutely be restricted. The reason America takes it too far is when they force other countries to engage in said sanctions, that’s the problem. Also there are ways or sanctioning specific people from specific things instead of starving an entire country, you seem to overlook that, even if that’s not what America is doing with Iran now

this is so goofy, drop the dumb patriotism s*** for a second and understand that their are people's actual lives at stake; the only reason the US has sanctions on Iran in the first place is because Iran refuses to become an American neocolony. the US is 100% "the bad guys" here, you trying to equivocate whatever Iran does just shows your ignorance.

Yes, I opposed the strike killing Soleimani in the first place, and opposed trump pulling out of the Iran deal. Iran and US should have less tense relations, but I don’t think a couple sanctions against government officials would be out of order

Trump did the Iranian people a favour by pulling out of the Iran deal and even killing Soleimani.

Obama's iran deal would have allowed the islamic authoritarians to continue filling their pockets with Iran's resources at rapid rates enabling to suppress the people for decades to come.

Supreme leader of Iran is sick and old as f***, the plan was for his son to take over as supreme leader after his death and have Soleimani alongside him as the president. Imagine a radical islamic fundamentalist military guy ruling over you with sharia law... The iranian people dodged a bullet

You don’t care about peoples lives at all so drop the humanitarian act. When Iran was a “neocolony” the people weren’t starving, backwards, and undeveloped. They were, however, disapproving of the US appointed Shah and his distance in ideals from them. Those are the reasons to support the 1979 revolution, not because Iran used to be some poor country. And Iran’s current government sponsors terrorists and conducts attacks in foreign countries that lead to civilian casualties, of course you don’t care about that, because acknowledging any wrongdoing would require you to give the US some kind of defense in your mind

Actually the opposite, I like the people. The real racists are the ones in charge, those who discriminate their own people based on their beliefs and the regions they belong to...

Yeah but even so, America currently slows Islamic authoritarians to continue filling their pockets, so it’s not like America is opposed to Iran solely for being religious extremists. If the US just had normal relations with Iran, and maybe sanctioned some leaders and provided funding for genuine protests and such, maybe the Iranian people could pull together another revolution

Women literacy rates in Iran before 1979: 35%

Women literacy rates in Iran today: 97%

    seems pretty backwards to me

i need to stop arguing with children who dont know any real history. the US colonial government was keeping the country underdeveloped, which is why the 1979 revolution happened, and why re-nationalizing the oil companies was one of the first things that happened.

Real History: the evil nazi American empire went all over the world to prevent any popular revolution from taking place, while the great Soviet heroes fought valiantly with their communist allies to commit no war crimes and stop western aggression at any turn. Despite failing, their mantle of fighting capitalist slaver has been picked by the literally capitalist nations of Russia, China, and Iran. Also everything these countries say is true and anything America says is false

    this, but unironically

its funny that you think calling america a "nazi" government is like a joke when the actual nazis modeled their system of concentration camps on what the US did to the native americans and the filipinos.

the US wouldve gladly stayed out of the european theatre of WWII and let Hitler kill every last jew in europe if it meant the fall of the soviet union. but thats not what happened and by 1943 the tides were turning and the US saw a golden opportunity to become the dominant imperialist power in europe.

The US declared war on Germany only a couple months after Germany invaded the Soviet Union, and it did so as a response to the Japanese attacking them and Germany declaring war. Even before America was in the war it was providing aid to the allies, and then provided aid to the Soviet Union. You’re just spouting nonsense

If Iranians want to have a theocratic government then so be it, that doesn’t mean that everyone else has to like it and be happy when they arm terror groups around the region and project force in foreign countries

Dude everything is relevant to time. Do you understand that? I mean what was the illiteracy rate in america 120 years ago among women and african americans,,,

If you know anything about iran history and compare the growth %s per capita you will see that it was during the pahlavi particularly reza shah when the country took a big leap in regards to women rights and economically too.. roads were built, schools were built, rail roads .... and so on

If you had the slightest idea you would know that reza shah wasnt born into power and he took over the Qajar dynasty and saved the iranian people from literally starving because the country was mismanage by morons for so long.

It's been down hill ever since the islamic government took over. These idiots even banned contraceptive methods, pills, condoms during the Iraq Iran war because their dumb ass backward idealogy saw power in numbers and they wanted more islamic soldiers.... IdiOTs., didn't realise they don't have the infrastructure to support the extra population .. They are still paying for their dumb mistakes .... These people rocket down their own people in the sky --- and you are sitting here talking about literacy rates over half a century ago

thats not the same thing as launching a counterattack. the US fully intended to stay out if the nazis conquered the USSR. declaration of war was a formality.
