If people don't want to watch this comedy set in Southside Chicago, they should watch Southside. Its early seasons are some of the funniest sitcom TV I've seen in a minute.

Yea the OG Good Times just looks dumb as f*** when you're not young and blinded by nostalgia. Niggas are not being happy in poverty no matter how many jokes they try to toss in about it. But I understand a lot of people probably wanted to use the show as a form of escapism.

I wonder why out of all the classic black shows/IP'S to reboot/remake that they choose to dig up Good Times out of all things Especially in 2024.

Good Times is a relic and time capsule of the 1970s and should have stayed that way.

Martin from Double Toasted didn't make it pass episode 3.

It was straight. Nothing ground breaking but funny at times. Pretty quick + easy watch. Reminded me of The PJs from what I can remember of that show

Only funny part about this show is the baby, and that’s mainly because Slink Johnson makes anything funny.

Writing is terrible. Episode one ending already lets you know that the show will not redeem itself.

And writing aside, the show is visibly hard to watch because of how low budget the animation is. It’s like playing a video game and the frame rate keeps dropping.
