Maybe the professor already had a bad record one way or another and they were gonna get rid of him anyway. Truth is we’ll never really know 100% what goes on behind closed doors etc so we shouldnt feel the need for conclusive decisiveness, especially when all we’ve really seen is a few tweets about it

from what i’m seeing though the general consensus on this guy is split. some students say he cool, others say he weird.
either way he got relieved with tenure so i don’t feel to bad for him.

The issue with this is why is a third party getting outraged on behalf of the “victim”. If the kid brushed it off & wasn’t offended, who are you to create a narrative & delineate what is considered as xenophobia. Lol imagine Ur slapboxing with ur homie & u knock him out cold & some random dude reports u on behalf of him & u go to jail for that.
I agree that the teacher shouldn't be fired but just because someone is okay with inappropriate behavior does not make it appropriate. For example if I grope a random woman and she just happens to be okay with it does it make my action any less creepy? Like how would I have any idea if she wanted to be touched or not?

Unemployment skyrocketing in great depression levels and people are getting fired because they made an abysmally cringe joke to their students and a handful of people on twitter put their hall monitor badges and fake mad faces on.
Meanwhile that university is bleeding young adults futures dry with completely needless debt and massively inflated textbook prices due to incestuous corporate ties.
What a f***ing s*** world we live in where people ITT are actually entertaining the idea that this professor should've been fired, let alone agreeing with it. Anyone cheering this on should be ashamed of themselves.
