100%. it was a poor taste joke but it shouldn’t have been more than a conversation had and an apology given out
Maybe the professor already had a bad record one way or another and they were gonna get rid of him anyway. Truth is we’ll never really know 100% what goes on behind closed doors etc so we shouldnt feel the need for conclusive decisiveness, especially when all we’ve really seen is a few tweets about it
teachers shouldn't be joking around like that w/ students they aint cool w tho, it's mad informal
if i told a teacher i was from chicago and he said some s*** like "ah s*** goddamn lemme get my bullet proof vest on" i'd feel a typa way too on the low
well the guy in the video didn't lmao
it's annoying when ppl feel the need to get mad for others dude clearly saw it was a joke and didn't get offended

you can say that for anything of course we only gone go off of what we know. if he a trash person with a history of this then cool.
going off that video though, i said what i said
from what i’m seeing though the general consensus on this guy is split. some students say he cool, others say he weird.
either way he got relieved with tenure so i don’t feel to bad for him.

You can say that about anything because its a good general philosophy to actually know something before you execute on it
Im not arguing with you if you think i am
The joke doesnt even make sense
Its a online class, dude probably says racial s*** in private all the time and this slipped out
Joke might’ve been a liiiiittle off but from the 2nd vid dude seems like a good guy. But this social media so we judge ppl on impulsive snapshots not collective character smh
The issue with this is why is a third party getting outraged on behalf of the “victim”. If the kid brushed it off & wasn’t offended, who are you to create a narrative & delineate what is considered as xenophobia. Lol imagine Ur slapboxing with ur homie & u knock him out cold & some random dude reports u on behalf of him & u go to jail for that.
I agree that the teacher shouldn't be fired but just because someone is okay with inappropriate behavior does not make it appropriate. For example if I grope a random woman and she just happens to be okay with it does it make my action any less creepy? Like how would I have any idea if she wanted to be touched or not?
Nigga thought he was doing crowd work at the laugh factory and lost his job play stupid games win stupid prizes I guess
This s*** is outta hand man

Absolutely should not have been fired over something so incredibly trivial. Unemployment skyrocketing in great depression levels and people are getting fired because they made an abysmally cringe joke to their students and a handful of people on twitter put their hall monitor badges and fake mad faces on.
Meanwhile that university is bleeding young adults futures dry with completely needless debt and massively inflated textbook prices due to incestuous corporate ties.
What a f***ing s*** world we live in where people ITT are actually entertaining the idea that this professor should've been fired, let alone agreeing with it. Anyone cheering this on should be ashamed of themselves.
