Lost in Translation is so overrated and I really dont get why

It’s incredibly hard to say this without coming across as pretentious, but that film is like heroin for people who have met the right person at the wrong time. I think it’s perfect, but different strokes

It being slow is not a problem for me, it's just a complete mess of a film from start to finish imo. It's based on a real story so it's trying to be serious on some level but then it is also trying to be funny but the humour is all just 3 dudes fighting and screaming lol. Some other stuff i've forgotten about also, only watched it once

I think Memories is one of his weakest films tbh. Haven't seen Barking Dogs Never Bite but Memories might actually be my least favorite from the ones I've seen (all the others). In fact, I prefer Zodiac, which is often singled out as ripping Memories off in some departments but I don't know. It just works better for me. Memories sort of lacks something but I guess I'd have to rewatch it to really pinpoint it down. I'd agree with you that it's a bit messy but that's not necessarily something bad to me.

I turn off the departed when Jack says the n word. These white writers need to stop f***ing writing that word into their movies

I feel like Quentin Tarantino makes some of his movies JUST so he can say that word.

I bet when white actors see the n word in their scripts they get so excited lol. Probably agree to do the movie without even reading the rest of the script lol.

Ya one of the most passionate and outspoken directors only makes movies so he can sneak in the N word

DiCaprio himself told Sam Jackson he was super uncomfortable with the writing in Django and Jackson told him to stfu it’s just another tuesday for me.

Know what you’re talking about before making these weird ass takes.

So he was uncomfortable with the script yet still agreed to the role and had fun while performing

So what you're saying is they're kinda hiding in plain sight. I getcha now

Also that's sad to hear about Jackson. He's heard the n word so much in Tarantino movies it ain't nothing to him anymore

Are you just trying to be angry at this lmao go touch grass bro

you’re upset said that a movie taken place in the slave era portrays a white man accurately? When has Tarantino ever written a black man in a degrading role?

& yes, there’s been countless roles in cinematic history whether it’s the french new wave, soviet post war, to current Hollywood that have been challenging for actors to take but they take it because that’s what they do - they act.

Hollywood makes movies on slaves = cultural appropriation, using offensive language, this and that

Hollywood doesn’t = Hollywood so white, where is the black representation

    Lol nobody was mad.

You bringing up cinematic history and soviets and s*** like what?

All I said was Tarantino loves saying the n word and some of the actors who play racists probably love saying it too that's it. Now of course I could be wrong (doubt it tho) but it's funny to joke about it seeing as how he loves to have the n word in his movies.

Now all jokes aside, I think you lowkey told on yourself with that last part. Didn't bother clicking on the video btw.

“All I said was..” You literally said he only makes movies to sneak the N word in, then said completely negated what a challenging role is and now wanna back pedal

& yeah I’m not surprised your ignorant ass didn’t click on the video, don’t be hating b enjoy tarantino

I'm not back peddling lol. I'm saying I feel like he makes some of movies just so he can say the n word, because he loves saying it lol.

I would never say he "sneaks" it in. They say it loud and proud in his movies lol.

I'm not negating what challenging role is, I'm just saying playing a racist might not be a challenge for some of these actors

I'm not hating, I like the Kill Bill movies I don't think anyone was called n word in that.

Hollywood should move away from shooting movies in 24fps. 30, or 60fps is much more appealing to the eye. It really makes me feel like I’m right in the scene, especially an action movie

I dont understand the praise with The Dark Knight. Yea its a good movie, but people list it as one of the greatest movies of all time or something

I think it has to do with prior to TDK pretty much every Batman movie was super campy, also Heath's performance.

I love TDK too but I see it as a lesser version of Heat by Michael Mann

  • May 24, 2021

Kill Bill is dope but it's overrated, and is not as stylish and cool as the movies it takes from.

Also Meiko Kaji is more intimidating / badass in her roles as Lady Snowblood and Sasori than Uma is as The Bride
