It’s marketable at a time where nihilism is praised
Technically correct, and opinions on it’s quality can be argued (I think it’s great writing and animation for a show in its genre), but the waves this series has made are too massive for it to be called anything other than legendary.
Imo after this season and the next it’ll start getting those types of flowers. Based on what it’s already done though, multi-decade franchise easily
Dbz sucks too. Even the action gets boring after a bit. Half the fight be blurred lines cause they're "moving so fast"
i loved it as a kid but there’s toooo much filler
rick and morty is good its the fans that ruined it
Doesn’t yet get respect because of the fans it needed breathing room
i loved it as a kid but there’s toooo much filler
Way too much filler and repetition
Up might be the most overrated cartoon
After that opening scene, s*** is a snoozer imo
Django and Hollywood in my top 3 tbh
Django third act is weak
Hollywood was a snoozefest
Killmonger** is a completely uninteresting character (live action) despite having very interesting motivations, he feels like a henchman, he’s not menacing or charismatic, why do a good amount of people want him to be black panther?
Rick and Morty is a legendary and top tier show.
S*** is never funny on the second viewing. Granted I've seen maybe 5 episodes
Yall see a nigga, who was in one movie and had a dry role, land a supporting role in a new flick and swear he gone kill the game.
This is how they gassed that Lucas Hedges kid and he still aint have a role worth going crazy over
There hasnt been a single MCU D+ show thats been anything more than just decent. Loki better step s*** up these next few episodes cus the quality and the hype not matching up.
-Actors having "range" is overrated, especially if the so-called range is forced and unnatural. There's nothing wrong with "typecasted" roles as long as the actor is brilliant at delivering those type of roles.
-Futurama >>>> Family Guy, Simpsons, and South Park
-Sanford and Son is a top 5 funniest Black sitcom OAT but gets overlooked because of the era it came out in.
-Endgame wasn't disappointing at all. It served its purpose in weaving together many of the storylines together with a good mix of action, drama, and comedy and was a decent sequel to Infinity War.
-Cloverfield was an underrated movie.
Most people say Sanford and Son is the funniest black sitcom OAT

Depends on the generation. A lot of people will favor 90's sitcoms like Martin and Fresh Prince.
Godard is a much better film theorist than a filmmaker, it's interesting to read about the production of his movies but they're a chore to sit through and confuse surface-level gestures like showing characters reading books on art and philosophy for actual meaningful commentary
Idk if this is an unpopular opinion or not but it really feels like crime/action movies or action-adjacent peaked in the 70s/80s. 90s still had cool s*** but after that stuff started to get too glossy and generic.
Been looking at old crime and action movies from the 70s and most of this s*** would be too niche to get made today

What movies from back then are you thinking of?
What movies from back then are you thinking of?
Vanishing Point
Two Lane Blacktop
A number of Meiko Kaji movies
Streets Of Fire
Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior
Thief
A couple of Steve Mcqueen's old films
There's some Western / Chanbara movies I'm forgetting too.
Not even saying these movies are masterpieces but there's a certain style to these you dont see anymore.
I feel like a lot of action movies today are too... pristine or something lol
Or they're self referential and have forced one liners or something
