And got ate on his own beat
Ah another terrible opinion
And got ate on his own beat
Started f***ing the ink?
“I make music for niggas who get p****”
😂😂😂😂😂😂 🥛
I guess its still true considering your username to post correlation
Agree with this also everyone talks about Drakes run but Eminem releases his debut in 99 and has his biggest ever hit in 2010 and was still going strong until 2013
idk. how toosie slide blew up makes me think it doesn’t really matter what the quality of his music is, the general pop audience just gonna eat it up regardless. at least for another few years
don’t think he’ll age like em tho. they’re basically on opposite sides of the spectrum as far as hip hop personas go

People used to say Drake made music for people who had one.

Drake could be stronger than Em was in 2013 in 2023 tho which would be the 14 years since Best I Ever Had.
Drake feels more current now than Em was in 2010 too. He was still big in 2010 but he wasn't really in touch with the younger generation like Drake is. Hov did that better than Em by dropping WTT 15 years after his debut.
His late 40s and 50s are definitely going to be interesting lol
couldn't he just make r&b then. Drake can bend his sound to any hip hop, r&b or pop trend. he has a clearer path than most rappers.
It's weird comparing them.
Em was loved but also had so much stuff going on that made people hate him.
Drake never really did or said anything that was controversial. So he just gets love. Also made so much pop music, straight pop, no pop rap.
Except the black face i guess, but he's kinda black lol
Nah. Eminem's music quality has been in a steady freefall since he blew up. Drake is the opposite, he's only gotten better as he's gotten more popular. Drake's older stuff has aged like milk but at least it's wasn't dead on arrival like everything Em's done the last decade.

If anything, he seems to be slowly taking off again.
And imo

if this is true, then the whole of the 2010s will age badly. Drake has done most relevant sounds this decade.
part of the reason why Em's music aged badly to this generation is cos the sound he chose hasn't aged as well as the Neptunes, Timbaland, Just Blaze, Kanye production people still love today. The type of beats Dre had on his own projects are way more relevant today than the sound Em had.
A lot of Em's sound was clearly driven by him, he and other people produced a lot of the projects like TES and SSLP.

How wasnt he in tune when he dropped one of the biggest hits with Rihanna of the decade in 2010? He also went more popular music to cater to the sounds. At the point of Recovery, he stopped his edgy and shock value music and tried to make it more mature. Then people criticized it and wanted relapse 2
Not into drake like that but his music is pretty safe and doesn’t have the cringe subject matter like Em discog I’m sure it’ll stand the test of time

Not mad about this
every single one of KING SLIMES 2020 songs s***s on eminems entire discog
yes even toosie slide
Eminem definitely had higher highs, but drake is by far more consistent. At the very least his singles will live on forever.

Being popular doesn't mean you're in touch with what the younger generation are doing in music. Rihanna had already been out for 7 years by then, and it was a generic pop rap song.
Em was playing with old musical ideas in 2010.
People think this about Drake but it's not really true. Just in the last couple years he's done things like being early on Tay Keith with Look Alive, including bounce when most other big rappers weren't on Nice For What + in my feelings and being earlier than some people on uk drill.
