Mainstream rap is the worst it's ever been. If you have to actively search for good rap, then the genre is not in a good place. imo tho

Ate these "search harder" comments memes(lol)? You shouldn't have to search hard for good music, the artist put on the pedestals should be making it,whether their mainstream/underground. I shouldn't have to flip through random YouTube artists no on knows to find a semblance of goodness

  • Sep 15, 2022

@op reminds me of the people who like rap only as a trendy thing, which is p**** s***

"also paints us the black community as gun toting, bling bling idiots."

if rap convinces anyone to look at black people this way, they already had racist and unfair views

  • Sep 15, 2022

Real talk tho. How many decades y’all think Hip Hop got left?

Not necessarily I can see white folks who live no where near black folk get all their exposure through media and come to that conclusion without being a “racist”. It results in racism but I think culture programs thought

It’s not really “searching hard”. You can open your Apple Music app right now and randomly stumble across stuff that you like lol the problem is y’all need white america to guide you and tell you what to listen to.

Tbh. The racism is already there, they just use rap to justify their thoughts.

I think the strong hate against Eminem now is just an overcorrection for the way people treated Lil Wayne in the early 2010s
