Why Call of Duty though?

COD is like the face of Shooters, FF is like the face of Jrgps. Both are overrated imo that’s why i compared them

I have several favorites in the series but if I had to pick some, maybe VI, VII & X & XII.

Which ones have you played that formed that opinion?

Btw, I can’t really recall the last mainline FF that was widely considered as amazing. The name ‘Final Fantasy’ hasn’t made the games “Amazing” to anyone in recent years by any stretch of the imagination.

Every entry post like IX has gotten its fair share of s***.

The last mainline FF game with that kind of prestige would be X right? XII is great but it seems like even that one was pretty divisive. REMAKE was well received but that's based on an existing game. And XIV isn't as acknowledged by some people because it's an MMO.

I have a strong feeling XVI is gonna reverse the trend tbh.

Yeah, probably X & even that got s*** for it’s dialogue & linearity. XI & XIV are both MMO’s. XII was very divisive and don’t get me started on XIII lol XV also.

Nobody is calling Final Fantasy games amazing these days or Call of Duty for that matter

Anyway, i’m super excited for XVI. Really will be the first real PS5 game I’ll probably jump into tbh

True but they're hated cause you essentially get a roster update for a full price
