Uncharted 4 is the best by an absolute mile, not sure if it's an unpopular opinion but it shouldn't be. The gameplay alone puts it so far ahead of the rest it isn't funny

GTA IV is clearly the best but seems to not get a lot of love in the US because Niko is 'unrelatable' or some such. The story is just so good, the closest thing to a "movie game" we've ever seen. I get there are complaints you can't play golf and have nothing to spend cash on but compare the risk-taking in the narrative to the pretty mundane GTA V. Liberty City is so f***ing well done too

the leaks really f***ed it up and formed a hive mind around the game to the point where people didn't want to miss out on the pile on 'moment' so stuck the boot in without even playing it or forming their own opinion

there are def things about the story that irritate me (not a huge fan of all the jumps between characters + flashbacks, i didnt think the supporting cast were as good as TLOU1, the events on Seraphite island are a bit too fantasy for my liking) but it's still fkn insanely good and so many of the complaints were so stupid

i just finished my 2nd playthrough a year after the first and Joel's death completely works despite being the most complained about thing in the game

the gameplay is first class and really varied. they did such a good job with the encounter crafting. i only wish they had more 'third party' bits like clickers v. WLF in the subway and WLF v. Scars on the island

the funny part is for all the complaining about her character Abby actually had the best + most memorable parts of the game setting/gameplay wise (forest escape, hotel descent, hospital, island)

abby had the better set pieces but i just don't like how heavy she feels. ellie feels fast and nimble which much prefer

the framerate difference is the only huge thing which makes sense because it's not a genuine ps5 game just a touch up. i think loading screens are faster too

if they did a genuine ps5 version i would like to see them remove/reduce the in-game loading (where you hold triangle to move some sort of object and progress) because there are more of these than i remember and they get annoying.
