I buy fifa/2k/madden every year and I enjoy them every year
its only madden thats bad all of the other yearly ones are good
Turn based combat is so f***ing boring and garbage. Literally the ONLY time I enjoyed it was in Pokémon on the N64
I know it's not for everyone but it's definitely not "garbage"
Condensed, lively, smaller open worlds >>>>>>> spread out massive empty open worlds
Can you give an example of a condensed smaller open world?

Never played a Yakuza game since the original, where should I start if I want the best game in the series? Would I miss out on the lore / story?
I'm the exact opposite.
Could care less about online gaming, give me single player experiences with good stories
Interested to know what you mean by that
It's just an excuse for people to talk to their friends. The gaming experience is completely secondary. It's legit just a different way to press buttons and get notifications but for your average dude it's probably a lot more satisfying than Instagram.

Many say yakuza 0 is the best in the series and a great starting point

I agree and also think this applies to all online gaming
Guess I'm too impatient cuz even when I did play single player games I always skipped through the stories and scenes. i'm all about testing my abilities and I don't feel like that happens when u play vs the AI
I’m starting to feel the same way tbh, once you’ve played enough single player games everything starts to blend together, games start feeling the same and it’s very easy to game the ai. Online is something new every single time because you’re always playing someone new or different
complaints about fanservice in games like dead or alive or nier or xenoblade and how they "objectify" women shows insecurity in the validity of games as an art form. you don't see these critiques of hollywood films full of attractive people or of pop stars being all hot and sexy in videos. it's the same with anime, people desperately wanting the mediums to be "taken seriously" or something, as if t'n'a prevents that. music and film don't have these whiners because they are secure in their status as art.
anyone who gets mad about fan service or similar s*** i just disregard.
Powerful. A lot of it are Reddit nerds trying to legitimize their hobby.
If a game is made for 30fps (and you dont use KB+M) its enough for me for the game to run at 30 fps (if stable ofc) even 25fps in the old PAL games was good enough for me
Rockstar open worlds have had the same structure since gta 3, its been 20 years rockstar try to innovate again
