That GTA VI trailer is obviously beautiful and it's filled with so many details. My fav scene was that of the fake Ocean Drive and just how much it resembles the real thing. But, I feel like GTA became famous in the 2000s when mocking America and making parodies was super popular (think of Borat, South Park, Futurama, MTV prank shows, comedians like Dave Chappelle, Michael Moore documentaries). Like it was so big, but watching the trailer I was just left with a feeling that this whole trope has gone out of style because it has been so overused by everybody, I feel like we as society have outgrown the genre, especially after Trump's presidency which turned all the irony into post-ironic reality. Do you feel the same or is it just me?

Metal Gear Solid 1 is dated beyond just its graphics alone, and Solid Snake dialogue whenever a woman is involved is some of the cringiest s*** you'll hear . Matter fact, the whole game is ridiculous in the way it handles its female characters.

Far Cry 3 has decent gameplay elements but the game as a whole is kinda terrible. You can tell that the island is just a hodgepodge of what a white dude thinks Africans and Islanders should be, and playing through a white savior trope as a black person felt crazy. Had to stop.

It's ridiculous, but also kinda good tbh? The female characters have agency and are well-written. You can sense the male POV there, but there's no denying that they have a place in the world unrelated to a male counterpart. It's definitely aged on that end, but I think it was quite good compared to its contemporaries.
