That GTA VI trailer is obviously beautiful and it's filled with so many details. My fav scene was that of the fake Ocean Drive and just how much it resembles the real thing. But, I feel like GTA became famous in the 2000s when mocking America and making parodies was super popular (think of Borat, South Park, Futurama, MTV prank shows, comedians like Dave Chappelle, Michael Moore documentaries). Like it was so big, but watching the trailer I was just left with a feeling that this whole trope has gone out of style because it has been so overused by everybody, I feel like we as society have outgrown the genre, especially after Trump's presidency which turned all the irony into post-ironic reality. Do you feel the same or is it just me?
lol y'all think America only became a joke after Trump. Its always been a joke. Yes Trump made some things funnier on the poltics side or hyper realized but its always been a joke before trump, after trump in general. Trailer presented social media which is where the jokes and memes that much of it references are from

CRACKASTEPPAVEGANThe gameplay is pretty fun and challenging. No complaints from that end.
I'll focus on Meryl and say that so far, her only agency has been helping Snake so I wouldn't say she's well written. Her backstory is interesting though, but the writer(s) for this game wrote her character with one hand.
Sidenote, I'm still on the rooftop fight with Liquid in the Hind. He's kicking my ass ngl
Oh, you haven't beaten the game, I wasn't aware. Without spoiling anything, there's more character development later on in the story.

You have to strategize a bit more and manage resources, that’s all. I like real time combat as well but I feel like I can turn my brain off for the most part with those unless I’m playing a souls game or something
It was a couple boss fights in p5 that actually had me sweating

Like I said I didn’t used to care for it but it grew on me. Maybe it will grow on you maybe not. Persona 5 and yakuza 7 were also just really good games so I definitely think it made it easier to swallow that turn based pill lol
