Am I the only one who was thinking about Kendrick's Reincarnated while watching this
i wasn't but that's a good connection
when it first showed some funked out bootsy collins dude. I audibly said f\*\*\* yeah, had no idea where it was going but I was floored at the end
scene of the f***ing decade
I will say the outro might be my favorite part of the film, was just beautiful
it's crazy when a movie can make you feel nostalgic/some type of way about something you legit only just saw an hour or so ago. like i got a bit emotional when sammy started playing and it flashed back to when he played for stacks for the first time I just love s*** like that.

After the movie i literally went through the whole album just to find one of the outro songs

Surprisingly made me nostalgic as well, idk if that was Coogler’s plan all along but it definitely worked.
4.75/5
Instant classic I fear
I ain’t seen niggas clap after a movie in a min, and niggas was clappin in my theater after this one
Nah I deadass had this happen today too s*** is mad annoying my number one pet peeve.
How the f*** you gonna pay for a movie ticket and sit there and just text or snapchat lmfao. Genuinely perplexes me and i’ll never understand it at all.
my friend pulled his phone out a couple times man i wanted to slap the f*** out of his face

Reaching incoming, but maybe it's something in the warmness of the shots early in the movie before the get together, tying into the whole sun thing. The sun is purifying and represents the warmth of the living, and of community and happiness. For the undead, the boon is eternal life at the cost of the sun (stack). For the dead, the boon is reconnecting with those they lost at the cost of life (smoke). For the living the boon is the warmth of the sun and the human experience while also having to weather the hardships (sammy).
When the sun came up again to burn Irish Vamp and company, we were relieved and felt safe again. When Stack is reminiscing on the greatest day of his life, he mentions his brother, and he mentions the sun. Family/community and the warmth of the human experience.
Imagine if they shot it in a way where it looked dried out and bleak like marvel movies or something. I feel like it wouldn't have been anywhere near as effective.
THAT scene was f***ing incredible. Just in awe man.
I really need to go see this
That second trailer gave so much of the plot away lmao wow I’m so glad I came into this blind
