The tweet is clearly saying tho that it's unused art for literal Iceman

Or I guess it can be ambiguous for it

He does not make clear where it even comes from and that it's part of of the promo event spread which he has dozens of and only some of them have clear viewing online from ppl that had those envelopes n ish from the cubes plus the general venue

I took it clearly that its a framed version of one of the promo arts, which is what ppl were doing like his streaming circle

Idk tho - but it's def being thought of as actual album art

Big ghost blew up for writing and ranting hate reviews with jokes on most Drake albums in 2010’s

he even got paid to write the views one, he known more for that more than his actual production

My fault just saw this - no I don't think it's directly so, although it could be a double play (the girl isnt actually wearing a burqa, she's in a bra and it's the girl that raps on Maid that used to sound like Ice Spice)

I think the tape and eyes is very deliberate, it would have been very easy to just do another simple girl's face for his projects that he's done this year and like how he did with even with Maid with his own mother that seems to have no connection to the actual music

I do know he is playing off of Arab and Muslim imagery in Iceman but iirc the music itself on Habibti isn't

I think the usage of habibti does comes from that recent Inspo tho - and tape envoking a burqa could be a double play

Woman he wants but can't fully "see" or "go to", hence the tape covering her up besides her eyes

And also eyes are the most recognizable part of the human, you can have the whole body but if you take away the eyes it becomes blind to the human brain - so it's reversed + the tape keeping you and/or her away

Then it goes into the album sound and themes, where the first 4 song are really sexual and "selfish", the 5th song is a middle point and the rest are are more self reflecting and "poetic" introspection

The album is the good one out of the 3 imo, and it's follow through fully from concept to design to sound and imo quality - it's also a return to form imo of the poetry RnB style that made Drake famous on TC and NWTS that's been missing since then with only little glimpses on scorpion (which I feel like scorp disc 2 is kinda like a prototype Habibti, but I digress)

And the album itself is like if you combine Marvin's Room, Fireworks and Jaded together and build out a full sound and concept based on those songs

I also think the cover art is aesthetically pleasing and well done even without any meaning put to it, which all covers of Drake's 2020s era have been "half-assed", disconnected from the music or just poorly done besides it and then DLDT with its mixtape feel

And personally: DLDT, HNM and HABIBTI are the only projects I genuinely like from him fully, this decade too, but Habibti give me the thoughtful and art of his SFG, TC and NWTS era where he excited on everything - the music, the art and the concepts that all wrapped back on itself

Like it's a fully realized complete package of where the cover makes sense and adds to the music and the music reflects back on the art. Unlike Maid of Honour with the pics of his mom n dad and him as a child but it doesn't seem to have to do with anything, or like Her Loss has like a disconnect too, or HNM (which I love HNM anyways) Most Drake cover arts this decade imo have a disconnect with the actual album material and seeming idea (and then the other half it's just comes off poorly done)
