teamAds support the existence of the site along with the development of the site and upcoming app. I wish people were willing to pay a few dollars to support a free platform they use every day but most aren’t :/ it’s currently the only way to be sustainable.
Ads aren’t a perfect solution but compared to the rest of the internet the number of ads is low.
Take a look at Instagram and you’ll see an ad after every 4 posts. Having a couple ads on a page here doesnt feel like a real problem. I see ads on my account too to make sure I have the same experience.
Anyway I’ve made the in-content ad smaller. I’ll see how things go, but you have to balance user experience with sustainability.
PS if there are any offensive/invasive ads please report them. And if you’d pay for a no ads option let me know.
I've got an issue with a particular bottom screen ad affecting functionality
Interferes with the "Write a reply..." input button, and can't access smilies or posting without closing keyboard. And sometimes it doesn't even close when I click the 'X'.
And I don't have much money but if it was just a few bucks a month I'd be willing to pay for a no ads membership. I think it could be cool to throw in extra incentive as well.
Text-only post signatures with a short character limit? Could be a good incentive for creators to sign up so they can advertise their art/business more efficiently on here.
Members only sections? G&G would honestly be a good one but people might be mad since they already access it for free. L e a k section ?
