But keep buying courses and getting certificates to "make it big" and "be the next Elon"

When the population is broke and desperate they will naturally focus on the things to make them not desperate or broke regardless of legitimacy, reading and basic math has little economic benefit in comparison to the draw of wanting to make it big which is the core process behind US/capitalist propaganda

    rather late

I still feel superior im sorry
    Shortcuts are still shortcuts

This is like saying you're better than people who use a calculator even though it takes you 50x as much time to be as productive. Or like a college prof forcing you to write 20 page papers by hand

    Idk your field but still

keep them illiterate so they’re easier to propagandize that’s the whole plan

  • Dec 14, 2024

    americans get louder and stupider

i've had a few conversations with americans in the past few weeks and i've genuinely been blown away by how people can present themselves as "put together" and "well spoken", but once you have a real conversation with them, you realize how braindead they are

i feel like white people in general are really stupid but i must say that canadians aren't nearly as stupid as the average american youth

Not the whole plan, but the first part.

The next is to use this as the reason why all education should be privately owned instead.

    alsooo

the number of times i've been shocked that people learned new words from social media (like the word demure) + proceed to use it incorrectly

there's this new thing i've noticed where they say "whenever" when they should say "when" and it drives me f***ing crazy. i assume it's because they think it makes them sound more sophisticated but every time i hear a sentence like "whenever i left the house last night..." i die inside

Did you not know children grow into adults?

Those affected by the begining of nclb are now 28

Now is the time these adults have lead to this headline

There is plenty of research out displaying the FR

    https://nces.ed.gov/surveys/piaac/2023/national_results.asp

"Over a quarter of US adults (aged 16-65) can't read more than simple text, and a third can't do more than simple arithmetic. Between 2017-2023, there was a significant increase in the number of adults scoring in the bottom proficiency level for both literacy and numeracy. A new category (Adaptive Problem Solving) has 32% of US adults in the bottom tier."

education in the U.S is admittedly poor, but I think the U.S is gonna have to accept that our population is aging. Young people across the board, every race and economic strata, are having fewer children than previous generations. Obviously with age comes mental decline. If we don't replace ourselves in the population, the geriatric people will continue to push this country further down the leaderboard.

won't be me though. my genetics should not be replicated

Fast mapping is a major part of language development and can strengthen understanding of other words while eventually strengthening the skill of understanding language from a cultural standpoint
