    good boy

Okay more specifically, he wanted unique beats that banged that he could rap on

Yeah they’re influenced by the trends of today’s sound but he takes them in completely different directions

If you don’t hear how these beats are nothing like what’s out right now you’re not listening close enough

I’d love for anyone to show me one or two songs that sound like ANYTHING we’ve heard before? (Except Venetia and secure the bag they’re ass)

Carti copied venetia beat for @ meh I said it

I think people dismissed as generic or shallow, but I think he was just trying to rap really well over insane beats. The flows are next level and he be barring out for 3+ minutes consistently. The designer, b****es type bars are shallow yeah but that’s his real life. I think a lot of people wanted LIR2 again which was way more melodic and emotional

and this right here is why people who d***ride this project are no different than the people who d***ride eminem just because he raps fast

just because uzi is spitting fast and at a high volume does not mean he’s “barring out”, the bars themselves are pedestrian. and having “next level flows” means next to nothing as that’s the most common trait for a rapper to have nowadays

all of uzi’s music from lir1 up until this point was super melodic, which is what set him apart from his peers. him taking that element almost entirely out of his music just leaves EA sounding like it could have been made by a dozen other rappers, and we’re not even getting into the production side of this, which is his weakest to date

but here’s the thing, i know i unavoidably sound like a hater but i truly want to see uzi win, people love the album so i think that’s cool. s*** it’s not even a bad project, but seeing d***riding like this is crazy to me. but i probably do that with other artists and dont even realize so hey

i dont understand how you're saying theres no melody on this album

the melodies on this are out of control and dominate most of the songs from 'im sorry' onwards, the production is something else aswell, doesnt sound like anything else out there

i just cant see where this angle comes from tbh

Who said I was d***riding? Not even in my top 5 AOTY

And the difference between eminem and uzi is that uzi has more enjoyable flows + infinitely better production

he had 32 songs to attempt to get another XO tour life and at the end of it the closest he got was a literal carbon copy of it.

well i don’t understand how you’re saying the second paragraph, we must be listening to different albums

just because he told you certain parts of the album would be melodic uzi doesnt mean they are. the album is easily dominated by bars, yes there’s songs like Urgency, P2, and Secure the Bag, i know. But the parts of the album you’re claiming are melodic is just uzi using the common melody tropes most rappers have been using for the past year. The melodies and hooks Uzi was dishing out 2015-17 are on a whole different level

    i dont think so

i feel he can easily make something as good or better than Xo or any of his previous music for that matter, i think Uzi still has the highest ceiling out of any new school artist in his lane

the question is will he let the fans d***riding make him feel like what he’s currently doing is good enough

I didn’t like EA at first but I think what it was meant to be went over a lot of ppl’s heads

Imma give it one more try right now

Edit: nope still don’t like it. The three singles sorta hit for ex: that way but man every beat on most of these songs have the same drum pattern. It’s boring

Don’t let ktt change your opinion you are right

Even though it explores a lot sonically I think EA is sequenced perfectly

    explores alot sonically

The first like 6-7 tracks are all one long song
