100% agreed. 2H 2026 release feels like you're in 'update the CPU/GPU from what was originally announced' territory.. Hopefully these launch soon

kinda wonder if GTAVI will be on time/how that November release date plays into their big hardware/software announcements as well.

They'll update the hardware and tell folks to update their wallets accordingly

250hz polling rate is a bit DOA for me. i was gonna buy 2-4 but now im probably gonna buy 1. kinda pathetic considering gamesir has very high quality and bang for your buck options like these amazon.com/Wireless-Controller-Joysticks-Triggers-Remappable-Smartphone/dp/B0F3CZJGSF?th=1 at frequent $20 sale prices at 1000hz, and pay $20 more and you get a hugely improved controller with gyro and TMR (Cyclone 2 amazon.com/dp/B0DBLMZJRJ?ref=emc_p_m_5_i_atc).

1000+ is basically unnoticeable, but below 1000 it is at least for me. kind of like a 320 mp3 vs lossless situation, with 250hz being like 192kbps for my musicheads reading this, except even more noticeable depending on the games you play. $99 would be a lot more tolerable were it not for that detail

still gonna get one, but can't lie that that's prolly the biggest disappointment. not sure if the polling rate applies to the trackpads though or how that works, as i do enjoy using the right trackpad+left joystick combo for fps (when games support that dual input method, ofc), and i would be primarily using this for that or for living room pc stuff. ultimately though if you're not in that niche (you genuinely enjoy the deck trackpad input method+you have a living room PC setup) i would not recommend this controller to you much at all, really.

this was pretty much the only product from the recent valve announcements i was genuinely interested in owning, as i have little interest in vr and don't need a steam machine, so eh

i doubt it personally, but a bunch of controllers were shipped to the same warehouse a couple of weeks before price announcement/order date IIRC. I think it'll still be a few months before we have more information.
