    Lmao

it was so many people making that same type of music although that hellboy tape was hard

It’s so fascinating to see who gets remembered from the different scenes and waves this decade makes me think of who was forgotten from the 70’s-early 00’s.

Sounds like blind hate but Christ what an awful choice lmao

artist of the decade is drake or future if we talking mass representation of the zeitgeist with me kinda leaning towards future bc he had undeniable presence nearly every year this decade beginning with me entering hs to racks on racks

also could be tyler with how he evolved from odd future into that next Pharrell/ye Type dude to be a multidisciplinarian of music art and fashion and be relatively respected in all 2-3

I call that the "j dilla curve"; an artist becomes more highly rated depending on how young, and unintended, they died.

Peep was OK, but definately not artist of the decade. I dont even think he had a #1. Lil Nas X is more of a candidate then peep, at least he revitalized a whole ass genre

  • Nov 9, 2019

All his s*** sound like demos bro lmfao

If they're gonna go with a soundcloud rapper that died young you would think x. He was way more popular and had a bigger impact

X got wayyy too much baggage for this modern cancel culture. Can you imagine the twitter fingers who would crucify vice for putting him on there?

    was just finna say...

Didn’t read the article but I assume the logic is depression, pills, etc. self loathing type music as it relates to this generation (89- early 00s babies)

X was a more well rounded dude to give this title to but of course VICE filled with hella 30+ ___ __ so they’d reach for something like this

X was 17 and grew up with one d*** addicted parent that was barely there. He was making a positive impact after and needs to be looked at with a nuance that people lack these days

Honestly moving into the new decade we should examine the real world tangibility of this outside of us making it a bigger deal than it is

I agree, but sadly most people remember "woman beater" and lose all sense of rationality

If thats the case then no dead person is allowed to make these lists, considering they cant be critiqued.

Besides YSL got a point, its gotta be an artist who was at least around in 2011

I’m a fan of both but Peep was definitely a better artist than X.

Yeah X was obviously more recognized and therefore will leave a bigger legacy.
