BlueDreamIdk about everyone else but I personally don’t regret buying a PS5. I upgraded from a base PS4 so being able to play games in 60fps was a HUGE deal for me and I can’t even imagine trying to play anything on PS4 anymore. The Dualsense, load times and visuals are a big plus as well for me
Yup this. I still have a PS4 set up in the other room when I'm too lazy to play PS5 in my bedroom and you realise how clunky the 4 is now it's horrible

Pc gamers are the most pretentious out of these "console" wars. So focused on FPS and highest settings and how their s*** is so much better when the rest of us just want a relatively cheap machine that will play 3rd party as well as great exclusives without any tinkering/upgrading for it's lifespan

The PS5 still has another 4 years left in its lifespan so people already writing this console off is wild.

think this gen is just gonna get written off as a weak/failed compared to its potential
it never fully got off the ground with it coming out around COVID, still seems to be going nowhere and technically getting close to its mid life cycle even with nothing groundbreaking between either Sony or Ms

The lack of new games from Sony’s studios and the constant re-releases create the perception that PS5’s software output has worsened compared to its predecessors. The reality is that games take much longer to make now, and Sony going all in on GAAS is also a contributing factor.

Arkham Asylum and City are a different beast entirely, but I definitely think Insomniac Spidey beats Arkham Knight.

This isn’t 1000% true
The PS5 itself is pretty limited to what it can do for the most part compared to 2024 PC’s
Like we ain’t hitting 4k 60 on this gen sadly so we’re either getting a 1080p 60 or a 1440p 30
Not ideal. Especially when the biggest games out are cross gen or look last gen for the most part
