The better question is, what do they mean that scorpion has sold over 10m units is that counting 2x sales for the double album or not? If so then that means scorpion is 2x Diamond

i assume scorp is for sure being times 2 so it "really ' is 5,
but true, there are discrepancies of riaa and billboard of how they count doubles its weird how theyre not on the same pag, if im not mistaken. if riaa say diamond then its halfed from billboard, so if riaa say double diamond then its 1 diamond from billboard,
doubles are always weird,
and views is technically a double album but some paces count it as such while others dont,
idk tbh - s***s kinda stupid if you ask me and very archaic. while being even more confusing in the streaming era.
there's a similar weird half way in and halfway out kinda thing with mmbs as well in tracking/reports ive noticed.

its billed officially as a double album (scorp) and is listed as such by billboard n riaa
billboard n riaa dont really care about the actual time length (like eps since the 2000s) today since like the 2010s, its the number of tracks, and more importantly if its just stated n packaged as such
we went thru this early last year too - about mmbs and scorp and how they were counting - its very f***y tho
idgi - seems like its just a whatever the artist says and as long as its over 16 main tracks
theres few other niche'r albums too in this halfass way of counting doubles and not fully outlining them - and then for other projects they out right contradict the few "rules" they do have outlined
and some things riaa n billboard both agree on, but some things they dont

RIAA counting Scorpion as a double album. It's literally a lie lol. RIAA minimum length for a double album is 100 minutes. Scorpion was just under 90 minutes. Would've been double Platinum instead of just Platinum on the first day if it had been counted as a double album

Billboard doesn't count double albums but RIAA does. Also units are different.

It's a double album yes in that its tracklist is made of two discs, but doesn't meet the requirements to be a multi-disc set and have its sales doubled for certs by RIAA. I updated my first post with the link to RIAA's website specifying 100 minutes as minimum runtime
Also I don't think the search on RIAA would confirm or deny, I've tried to do that. Doesn't seem to make any mention on even the most obvious double albums. But again, runtime
