The first stage of grief is denial
It’s very likely these characters are in a state of shock and have no idea how to process what’s going on other than being in denial
And all of that happens like 2 days after the breakout
I just think it's super interesting, it's bound to be something Carol considers, and they're already setting up the sexual tension with Zosia.
She's not even thinking about s***and the hive mind is the opps
It was for these few people, not for carol for example. And the little girl who actually wants to join them.
I feel like what you need was the character being written and performed over the top just to get the point across
No, I didn't need it to be written and performed over the top, I just didn't find it believable. I don't yet have the ability to explain why it's not believable beyond what I've already said but intuitively I didn't buy it. I think we'll have to agree to disagree on this one.
It's almost like that's the whole point of the scene and the symbolism in it, especially in this frame
Also, these people still have their families and Carol was the one left completely alone, and even tho they not actually their relatives per se they are still in a stage of denial about their family members not actually being themselves
yep don't worry I had also gathered the symbolism of it, however what is the point of that symbolism if in the end it is indeed the american character who saves the world? im getting ahead of the story here but it seems likely

...how you already judging a second episode for what you assume it's gonna happen at the end of the series? lmao wtf
tried to show my friend this show cuz i know she’d like it (esp ep2) but ep1 was too freaky for her to get through. On rewatch it is kinda creepy tbh, mostly ep1. Ep2 sets up what the actual show is going to be but the initial invasion was pretty intense and horror-like don’t y’all feel?
I thought she’d be good cuz she loves Severence which is also kinda creepy/ominous sometimes
Yeah this is in severance territory.
It is pretty horrific. Even though it’s not.
This show is an amazing opportunity for greatness with a cool premise.
We got one, what I think can be really good, end of humanity show with Pluribus and one, which I think is a little worse but still a fun watch, with Paradise, out at the same time
I'm fw it
Man paradise f***ing SUCKKKSSSS
You typed this from an android or PC?
iphone
is this how it was when Breaking Bad was airing? people not recognizing peak and questioning it early on? 😭
...how you already judging a second episode for what you assume it's gonna happen at the end of the series? lmao wtf
it is indeed a reach but after all she is the main protagonist, we'll see how the story is by the end of the season, I would love to be proven wrong

Yup
I imagine the people that met up with carol were not outraged because this is one of the first times their family was consistently peaceful, I imagine their was some type of dysfunction before the outbreak which is why they are in such denial currently

Your kid is always behaved, your partner always listens and caters to you, you’re not arguing with your parent, it’s like having a living chatgpt as a family member

I dunno, I think most people are overwhelmingly positive on this show, just questioning some things

It had way worse reception (the first season)
It had only 69 on metacritic and nobody was watching lol, there was basically zero word of mouth
Man paradise f***ing SUCKKKSSSS
It's fun bad
And I'll always support a Sterling K Brown project
"I'd love to see it go as long as Rhea Seehorn wants it go ... I'm really doing it for her. She deserves to be the megastar that she is"
S2 already greenlit is crazy motion
It’s crazy how good Vince and his team are at telling stories visually
I think something to this effect was said in the BCS thread, but I could literally watch them showing like an IRS worker going about their day and be absolutely fascinated
Is this supposed to be a miniseries or have multiple seasons
multiple seasons
