respect for gilligan doing something completely new and exciting, its been a pleasure to watch so far
its also nice to see a show with a big budget where you actually feel the big budget. not just shows either but movies having huge budgets but you can't tell how or why really annoys me
and of course seeing rhea seehorn on tv again is just a pleasure, tremendous actor and she's already killing it

Yeah, it felt like a big budget, right? Felt like I was watching a Spielberg movie like War of the Worlds or some s***.

The only thing I hate about the show so far is how everyone is praising her performance. She's good but she's not like....Daniel Day-Lewis or something.

yeah but she's very good though.
Production quality is incredible, Apple gave him a blank cheque for this one ?

I know right, praising the performance of the lead is such a crazy thing to do. It’s almost like one of the major aspects of a show’s quality hinges on the ability of its lead actor 🤯

The narrative of the show stands out far more than anything else. Her performance isn't anything special. It's literally the exact same as she was in Better Call Saul, which again, isn't a bad thing. All the performances in this show are good so far. She's not "oh my God this actress is standing out" good.

Carol telling the 5 other immune people “We’ve all seen this movie before, we know where this is going” is a very self-aware assertion from the writers about how this isn’t something completely new
But overall I agree with your take, the production quality and performances are really taking this to another level, this is exactly what I wanted from Gilligan and I’m excited for Friday
"Pluribus" is part of the Latin phrase "e pluribus unum," which means "out of many, one". It is the unofficial motto of the United States.
that last bit is interesting

yeah and she’s supposed to be good.. i’m not into glazing lead, established actors anymore. when was the last time a consistent actor was s*** in their performance that ruined a show?
someone says “leo is so good in this movie!” yeah that’s why he’s getting paid
but you couldn't argue that their presence here on Earth so far has done more harm to humans than good right??
So far, sure, but it remains to be seen how the story will develop going forward. I mean, they'll probably be a net positive in less than a week if they're as benevolent as they claim to be since there will be no more animal cruelty/hunting etc, not a single war, no hunger or poverty anywhere and 0 crime worldwide etc. etc. Just billions of content people.

Packing up 900 million humans is in itself a net positive and plus even if you killed the useful ones they still retain thier skill
How is Vince still getting mileage out of Albuquerque
Thought he filmed every corner of that city

You see the vision
I said net positive in a week, but after some thought I imagine they/it is probably a net positive for life on earth in just a single day tbh
