  • he tries way too hard to keep up this persona. it's not normal and based on the way he speaks in his music it isn't who he actually is. it's tired.

    incredible artist though.

  • i also don't think it's necessarily an unfair stance to have. it's just so pretentious to speak the way he does about it.

Like asking a slave their favorite cotton product made from their labor

    Bro what lol

  • Poolboy Q

    why is yours so big?

  • "Now sit down like a pretty hoe and don't fight this s***"

  • I mean Vince has spoken this way about his music career before so it’s consistent in his views

For the creatives, yeah there’s a problem with how he views it but for the average joe, why would they care?

Why is it even a problem for creatives? If someone can take a banana to a wall or scribble over a canvas and call it art, why does the value of this thing cause these types of reactions?

Would I say it's because of the art, no lol

this clip is crazier to me. they doin all this mental gymnastics when it’s just as simple as Kanye was making better music at the time

Lmaoo another example of him always going for the opposite take just because

The evil white people wanted the outspoken black nerd to be the role model for black youth over the gangsta rapper who always promotes ignorant s*** and has no conscious side to him? Okay Vince lol

  • Oblivion X

    Bro what lol

Niggas was getting all type of ridiculous s*** off in the name of matching Vince contrarianism lmfaoo

Idk about the banana wall art stuff but I would say for most creatives, I wouldn’t say the standard view of their art is how Vince describes his. Vince stance opposes the common view of art being something to be proud of which Vince doesn’t necessarily gives that sentiment

And when you’re on Vince’s level of success it can seem like a slap on the face for those who are striving to make their art known

Tbf, humanity has a really large problem with projection but it's really no one's business how you value your art and value isn't just determined through dismissal either. Also value systems aren't 1:1, we all care about different things differently

Let those persons whom feel disrespected by the lack of concern actually be disrespected to the 100th degree. They're literally doing it to themselves lmao

    And this why u twin

What he is saying makes perfect sense and I am confused on how people think its pretentious or non chalant. he has been saying it for years in many ways and said similiar sentiments during the beef about masters and ownership that he didnt care about a beef.

I do also think there is a chosen rapper at the time sold to white people. Yes its better music but there is an accessibility or image sold to the masses at a given time as well.

  • The odd future effect continues

  • Vince staples is incredible but the burger a***ogy doesn't work

A burger can be sold once and you only make that one purchase from the burger

A song can be sold forever. Of course people expect more care for that

No one’s right or wrong in this situation imo

I just can see both sides, people feel the way they feel at the end of the day on both ends. It is what is
