Too many of us fell for the symbolism and the emotional gratification of seeing something we were conditioned to think was impossible
It crippled us from creating a platform to hold him accountable for policies that would benefit us
He knew this and played to our emotions for 8 years
He code switched his nomenclature when talking to black crowds
Used his celebrity for photo ops with artists who under normal circumstances wouldn’t get much face time with a President
Created a big brother program on some YMCA community service s*** and still till this day promulgates it’s like it’s a game changer
