I got one as a Christmas gift from a coworker like a week before Christmas and have used it almost every day since. I made some brussels sprouts with a homemade honey dijon vinaigrette last night. I made some soft boiled (technically not boiled, I guess) eggs in them this morning. It's a pretty versatile appliance.

It's definitely not ideal for larger batches of food. I decided to see how well it worked for frying up some cat fish the other night and it worked alright (deep fried definitely tastes better, tho). It was nice not having to deal with any oil and it was just less messy in general. However, it took for f***in ever.

That's where you get a convection oven. Air fryer makes more sense if you're living single for sure

Isn’t it just an oven but smaller?

Uses the same technology an all?

Did you put a light coating of oil on them first? It makes a big difference.

Pretty sure I did, can't fully recall since its been a year or 2+

“Healthier” alternative to deep frying foods in oil. Quick, easy to clean, and can cook a multitude of meals. I said in another thread anyone that lives on their own should have a crockpot, a rice cooker, and an air fryer. They’re all essentials

Why’d you say “healthier”? Is it not actually better?

Yeah, fersure. I used to have one and I loved it. That's why I love the air fryer, it's just like a convection oven, just on smaller scale.
