I still play it like everyday But there really isn't a lot of people playing. If you try to find a match for 5 minutes and the game doesn't find anyone, it just puts you against bots. This happens often. Or you're just playing against the same people over and over again because there isn't a huge pool to choose from

Servers are still trash and laggy at times with characters rubber banding around the screen

They didn't add any new characters for a long period, so the game became stale. I think Marvin the Martian was the latest character and he dropped in November

I get that it's F2P but the economy is downright criminal. They had to extend the end of the battle pass from mid Feb to end of March because nobody was reaching tier 50 with the little XP you get from matches. A profile icon of Fred's scarf costs 50 000 gold Most of the good costumes etc you'd actually want requires gleamium, which costs actual money. There's a Valentine's day event rn and there's a Wonder Woman skin that costs 12 000 or 14 000 hearts. You get like 40 hearts for winning a match, I think 20 if you lose

And the system can't feed into the hunger of gamers who want constant weekly updates like Fortnite who had to build 3 years to get to that status.

I feel like this is the problem with live service.
I feel it would have faired much better being a $40 release, and having a fight pass.

If they're shutting the game down until early 2024, there better be a complete overhaul in gameplay, maps and characters to keep this game alive. But knowing these mfs, there won't be The last character they added was Marvin the Martian - this was in late November Season 2 started mid November and was supposed to end mid March, got extended to end of March and now they're extending it to until the game closes in June I'm tier 49, there's 50 tiers - how tf do they expect to keep people like me interested in playing their game until June?? The LEAST they could've done was cobble together another battle pass for the last 3 months of this "beta"

Wtf have they been doing all this time other than minor character adjustments? Servers are still ass (there's f***ing lag in matches against bots), menus are still clunky and slow. Just had a glitch last night where the match was loading, I could hear the map's music but my screen was just black Also have a regular glitch where my left a***ogue locks to one side while doing a certain move

I think ending the open beta and launching an "actual" game is just some sort of legal loophole to avoid having to refund people who spent actual money on this game. They're not interested in delivering a satisfying experience for the community, they haven't cared for months now
