At least the movies aren't snoozefests. Also they're superhero movies. There's always boxes they have to check off as they're the most "for a large/wide audience" kind of films out there.
People know exactly what they should expect from a superhero movie. That's lowkey the whole reason why they go to see them. What they truly care about are the characters, how they get out of danger, and the big fight in the end. Extremely simple genre that's sole purpose is to entertain and be fun.
It's not Kevin Feige's fault he was able to figure that out with the MCU while DC struggled for most of the 2010s tryna figure it tf out even though they had multiple cartoons and animated movies that seemed to have an understanding. They're superheroes...be fun.

there are movies that couldve performed better commercially, but there is none that couldve 'saved' cinema. the only ones that could come close are the avengers movies (as much as some would hate to admit that)
its not that nolan 'killed' cinema, he failed to save it, but that was a task that was close to being impossible
so saying that WB is doing this just bc of tenet is just wrong, none of the movies in their line-up were movies that are like hyped, besides maybe wonder woman? but i didnt even hear anyone talk about that until it was close to release, the fact of the matter is that they dont really have any movie that would push tons of regular people to go to the cinema, just doesnt exist

KalmantaWhat was the alternative though? Delaying it AGAIN, piling up the costs which have to be payed back to the banks, wasted marketing momentum that has to be rebuilt. These are some factors why James Bond won’t be profitable, it’s gonna be a much bigger bomb than Tenet.
