I didn’t mind her? Good way for the show to explore privilege. The way they left her story was very weird. I wonder if the actress (really actresses, as there was no Sophie either) just couldn’t or didn’t care to come back? I thought she would come back and help ruin Buckley, which I guess they could still do (Catherine fight scene?) but it seems like the show’s just kind of done with the Mercers.

Yeah her exit was kinda weird. I thought we would have some time dedicated to her in the ward, but then again, what was she going to do to get out? Buckley was so foul for that lmao. As for Penny, she was a boring savior trope in the first season to me. It was only in the 2nd season, as her morals got challenged, that she became more intriguing. I think I just have a hard time getting behind squeaky clean characters lol, and when you compare her to Ah Toy or Mai Ling, she's not even remotely as interesting.
