Nah, and I lived in the city when 9/11 happened too. I was at school but my grandfather watched the second tower fall in person
But my two close friends were Muslim, and their families always welcomed me with open arms and s*** so I never believed the media hype on that.
I knew there were just some people who used the guise of Islam to promote their own horrible ideas, it’s wasn’t everyone.
Thats just cause homophobe is misused
it's cus when you use 'phobia' to describe a group of people it takes on the meaning of hatred as opposed to something like arachnophobia where it is a fear rather than a hatred of spiders
the amount of terrorist jokes I got in late elementary/junior high but honestly it was mostly harmless jokes
Extremism in any form is dangerous, if it's left, right, islamic etc. doesn't matter
But like every ideology or religion, the majority that keeps it moderate and reasonable is fine
I don't have a connection with any religion tho, way too dogmatic and conservative for me. So don't care much bout religion at all, aside from the historical narratives
Being anti-Islam is different than being anti-Muslim
I have a problem with the religion but not with Muslims who go about their daily life like everyone else in this world..
If you're ex-Muslim (like me) or LGBT you have valid reasons to be against Islam.. don't know why some liberals like to be politically correct about this.. you're just being dishonest
